  1. Thanks for the tour. Is there an Encore Azaela variety that is low and trailing, and doesn’t need pruning? And is it too late in the season to plant Azaelas here in Winston-Salem?

  2. Thank you Jim, l found a few more shrubs that I can grow in my garden. I’m going to keep my eyes open for the azaleas and soft touch Hollie’s. Do the soft touch Hollie’s get berries on them? 🍁🍂🍁💚🙃

  3. Just got a couple Autumn Fires from Plants by Mail. They were fast and in great shape. Thanks for the recommendation. My only problem is now I "got's to have" Diamond Spire, Chi-Chi, and that Mock Orange you recommended in the other video! lol

  4. Thanks Jim! I am in CA and got some encore azelias from out Home Depot it they seem leggy. How do I trim them and when to get them full?

  5. Hollo Jim putnam and Stephany. Those Azarias are beautiful. Great plants and many different shades of green. Wow love, love ❤️. See you guys soon. Thank you 💖

  6. I tried to email Southern Living about the difference between Confetti Abelia and Suntastic Pink but they never responded.I know Suntastic gets wider but color wise can you tell the difference?

  7. I love southern living. In the year of 1998-in may ,southern living magazine published. Put ore garden in magazine.

  8. We have a hard time growing "magnolias" in my area due to scale and root rot, but If I found a Stellar Ruby, I wouldn't hastate to try it. 👍

  9. I used to kid that my take home pay was about half when I worked in the industry. Some things you just gotta have! I still enjoy the great many that I have to this day.
Thanks for the tour Jim & Steph!

  10. So many beautiful plants! There’s nothing at my Lowe’s or Ace Hardware, This just reminded me that there are a couple nurseries near here!🤪 I’ve been sulking about the big box garden centers.

  11. Thanks Jim love you are sharing this beautiful plant tour!! I so engaged when you talk of gulf coast conditions yes it’s tough here as you know we had rain daily in summer now bad drought!!! I WOULD LOVE JUST ONE VIDEO OF HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY GROW PLANTS HERE ON GULF COAST!!! That would be awesome to us zone 9 gardeners!!!! I do know I’m always amending my Sandy soils and mulch but if you could do a video comparison on gulf coast do’s and dont’s to your area!! I’ve learned so much from your videos and like how you will say if in Deep South …ect.. but just would love more info on what growers tell you in gulf coast we have no clay in soil so now I realize I can’t mound up plants because they struggle and become water hogs so I will plant always at ground level.. ANY NEWS ON THAT ASPECT??? APPRECIATE ALL YOU DO TO EDUCATE US… JUST WOULD LIKE SOME FOCUS ON ZONE 9..!👍😀🥰

  12. SL keeps impressing with the new releases, so many great plants for our humid climate in the south! Thank you for sharing

  13. Viewer feedback: Filming the tags of each plant is not really working. The print is too small and you don’t hold the shot long enough. Just saying.

  14. I couldn’t quite see the tag but I did some digging and I think it’s Magic Mona plectranthus. Wow, that is beautiful! I hope I can get my hands on one. I have the Mona lavender and overwintered a cutting last year and it’s blooming now. Magic Mona looks much denser and upright.

  15. Thanks Jim for the great tour. Other than not being able to touch the plants, your review of each plant makes it like I was there giving careful consideration of each plant.

  16. encore's azaleas are so reliable. I have 4 in containers they never disappoint absolutely beautiful. I believe you had another segment that made me get them.

  17. GORGEOUS plants!! Can’t wait to see some of these next year!
Question, Jim: Are you familiar with the Carolina Sweetheart redbud tree? I read it’s not a strong grower. Do you have any experience with it?
Thanks so much for your videos! I always learn a lot from you.
