  1. The only thing I wouldn't like about the ajuga in that area is I'd be stepping on them all the time. They seem to grow nice and fast.

  2. My agastache did flop when it got too big. I cut it back in summer and it flushed out again. Don’t know if that’s typical.

  3. Have black scallop ajuga too. I love any plant that thrives, and this does. My chocolate chip ajuga got some kind of disease that slowly but surely destroyed the roots, turned the plant yellow, and allowed me to pull it right out of the ground. It was awful to pull out three year old plants that had covered a big area. Don’t know what it was, but it was progressive, and didn’t touch the black scallop ajuga.

  4. I have a lot of the different ajugas in my garden and I love how the fill in and create a colorful carpet. The black scallop is so different! I do the same thing each fall…stand back and decide whether I need to move plants. The weather has been great for gardening 👍🌱

That Julia Child rose is gorgeous!

  5. It is a good color for contrasting the stone too.
It might be fun to introduce some new contrasting plant color to walk on.
    You’d have a mosaic.

  6. I found this blue thyme.
Veronica oltensis (Thyme Leaf Speedwell) is a beautiful, tenacious, small scale groundcover with thin stems of tiny evergreen leaves that cover themselves with blue flowers in early to mid-spring. Veronica oltensis is a little beauty that serves as an excellent crack filler between flagstone or pavers. Thyme Leaf Speedwell is a drought resistant/drought tolerant perennial plant (xeric).

  7. I also planted black scallop ajuga but my garden center has it in the shade dept. can it be in full sun cuz I’ll be planting a lot more !

  8. The ajuga is really looking nice. You inspired me to plant some in my garden this year and I'm enjoying it. I can't wait to get my hands on some of the Agastache! It's beautiful! It's a great addition to your garden.

  9. Thanks, Jenny! You are such a great teacher. I was headed outside to do some fall maintenance and mulching and now you've inspired me to divide / move some ajuga as well 😎 Wendy 8a NC Sandhills

  10. Ajuga shows up all over my lawn. Cannot get rid of it as there is just too much.

  11. Sweet sweet plants. Looks fantastic. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
