  1. I'm loving that Sempervivum tectorum 'Oddity' you have! (4:15). I just got one of those at Lost Horizons.

Also, your Sedum could have died from the period after the snow melted, when the flooding came in the spring. Where you live does your yard flood in early spring after a melt? That could have rotted the Sedum, and caused them to disappear. I see they are also surrounded by mulch, which holds more moisture, also possibly causing rot after all this precipitation this year.

  2. I really like the light green grass under the Japanese maple, really wished you knew the name because I wonder if it would do good in my zone 8.

  3. Bill your front yard is lovely. your cannas  are beautiful! I'm envious, mine ,same kind, have done terrible this summer. the weather has been crazy. also here in california, we are in a horrible drought. sowe have water rationing. I am just trying to keep things alive! its hard its 96 today & I have many potted plants & tropicals. I'd like to move to Hawaii!!

  4. Bill your garden is amazing I really look up to u and this year was my first year of gardening and let me tell you I have so many plants its ridiculous lol but anyways I watched your video on ivy and loved it so much I'm going to buy me a ivy I remember seeing one at my grocery store and I would also like your opinion on growing pothos I have a marble queen pothos which is doing some very weird process all my new growth is browning so can you do a video on it or leave me a comment plzz I think it may be the salt build up cuz of my water cuz my spider plant has browning issues as well and I know that is were it is from but your alocosia is remarkable really I love that plant I want to grow an upright one and I am still looking to find someone who has them were as my gardening funs are low with no job and I'm only 16 but I'm definitely interested in growing any and everything and if you ask me I have quite a green thumb as I have seen lol but anyways plzz leave me a comment @PlantzNThings

  5. You should do a backyard walk thru so we can see how everything came along I do remember you started something in a pot and are waiting to see it grow wat was your luck with that and wat does your hisbiscus look like ??? Mine is so horrible I had it in the ground and it looked sad and then I put it in a pot and the leaves are still coming and I have a flower coming out @PlantzNThings

  6. Hey Bill, your garden looks great. Your Agathuspus? should survive in ground however will most likely not flower since our growing season inst long enough. I live in Ottawa (Zone5a) and it did survive but never flowered 🙁

  7. Those burberry, I had to rip 2 out that got too big at a friends house. So many thorns! We called it the hellbush, those thorns hurt!

  8. I think the beautiful grass in front yard is Japanese grass or Hakonechloa.

  9. Both front and back yards look great mate. You have a strong knowledge of plants it seems. We have a native garden, (Australian), that we are slowly in the process of eliminating. Seems a shame but the missus has allergies to some of it. As well as the dogs can get ticks from certain plants. So it must be gone and is to be replaced by a tropical theme. It is going to be a huge job and I do intend to keep a video diary of the changes. Once it is in full swing, I will be uploading some video of the progress. At this stage, it is still in the clearing process, but I do have before video of the jungle we once had, lol. Good luck with the future prospects in your garden.

  10. I am stealing your ideas for the planters. I have never done a planter and yours knocked my socks off! Thank you, Bill! Can't wait to see your new house. You must be so proud.

  11. Your pretoriaa are huge! How many rhizomes did you plant in each pot? And where do you buy your alocasia? I'm in Barrie. Love your videos and commentary.

  12. I love your gardens. You mix interesting plants together and opt for more organic than drifts or clumps of homogenous plants. And you use a lot of colors. Cant wait to see you establish your garden at your new home!!!
