    Love your enthusiasm and the fact you share so much and really try to help people. If you see this post perhaps you will share a little about sprouts with your followers. They are so inexpensive and anyone can grow them. They are a tiny container garden!

    Last Christmas I started to think about a grid glitch and gave everyone on my list a quart of alfalfa sprouts and some sprouting stainless lids for jars. I live where the winter is harsh and was concerned about fresh greens. Clover sprouts taste like alfalfa sprouts and they are more available now for cost point, five pounds of clover sprout seeds is still about 30$ on ebay and a couple of tablespoons of alfalfa or clover makes a half gallon jar of sprouts. Five pounds of either will be enough for a half gallon of sprouts a week for about a year.

    I also have a bag of a mix with broccoli included which has all kinds of different vitamins. (The broccoli sprouts faster than the clover and alfalfa in the mix so the rest of the mix is eaten less mature) I recommend people who like sprouts get some and enjoy them now, learn about sprouting and you'll have some on hand if you can't get full grown greens. While broccoli sprouts have no outstanding flavor, each broccoli sprout may contain as many phytochemicals as an entire broccoli plant. Broccoli and other brassica seeds are loaded with glucosinolates, including Sulforaphane. (Be aware, radish sprouts taste just like full grown radishes and if you buy them in a mix they will give it a strong flavor. If you love radishes you still may want to buy them separately) Look at the nutritional profiles of various sprouts, enjoy some very fresh food now and later. Sprout seeds last for years!
