Backyard Garden

Landscape Contractor and Fence Contractor Working in the SAME BACKYARD, How Did it Go?

We are a local lawn and landscaping company based out of Freeburg IL. Family owned/operated and started from the ground up. My brother (Nic) and I (Alex) are doing our best to build a company we will be happy to work in. It has been an adventure and a struggle at times but I wouldn’t trade it for the world! We began our journey on youtube to document our company history and we would be happy to have you along for the ride! We have big dreams and have hardly scratched the surface of where we want to be.

  1. I don't know how I'd feel if I was the homeowner and had pallets and fence guys tearing up freshly laid sod… wouldn't it have made more sense to get the fence guys in there first?

  2. Looked like a fun project! I love the fact that you took the time to move those pallets for the fence guys. I would’ve done the same thing. Something so little for you to do since you are already there, but makes their lives way easier! Keep up the great work as always 💪🏼

  3. Im pretty jealous that your sod isn't breaking into a million pieces. We never get sod that seems to hold together.

  4. My favorite landscape you tuber no bragging on and on or preaching just straight up good work! What is the price for that type of work that size? You price per square foot?

  5. Does putting skids of sod and fence material on freshly laid sod risk flattening or sliding the newly installed sod? I would think very heavy skids on the new sod would at least cause divots. When I had my sod installed the landscaper didn’t even want me walking on it for at least 2 weeks.

  6. I’ve been on both sides! My dad owns a fence company and I’ve done a lot of fences with them, it was very nice of you to help them out with that. PVC fence is my least favorite, same with trying to clean up chain link!

  7. I can’t believe you guys are still in business with the way you install sod… everyone knows it goes brown side up… you are fired!

  8. How in the heck did you get three pallets of sod onto a one ton Chevy!? I watched on my phone, an I wrong about the truck or the number of pallets?

We only get sod in pieces like that, Bahia and St Augustine don't come in rolls around here and in thankful. Muck grown sod is heavy enough

    Nice work, as always

  9. I bet the fence guys loved you. Imagine if you weren’t there, they’d have to haul that by hand to the back.

  10. hello Alex I want to say first love the channel I've been watching your videos for about 2 years. I just started my landscape business with the help of my dad I want to ask how much do you charge per pallet (Bermuda because it's most common)?
