I just found your channel, and it’s awesome! That’s an interesting reason why they don’t incorporate cherry blossoms into Japanese Gardens. It seems like Bamboo would be incorporated in a similar manner, towards the back of the garden. But it has year-round/ multi-seasonal interest, so its theoretically more useful, and the running types can be rhizome pruned for containment.
