  1. Kristy, will it harm your brand of brushes to use them with acrylic paint? I don't want to harm my favorite brushes, but I have acrylic paints I've dabbled with, and fin the square tipped and round brushes just don't work like yours.

  2. it definitely help: I need to free myself of the fear of the result not good or or wasting paper. I'm doing this for me so let's enjoy! Thanks for this

  3. Love the concept. Worth a try… if I only had time…. lol. The excuse of me that I always use…. i have no time… and in the meantime, I am wasting so many time by watching others paint or make jewelry… 😆

  4. I love this! Fantastic exercise!! I think it will just help me to just get going and not overthink and “fiddle” too much! Thanks!

  5. Definitely going to try this. This would be a great exercise to do when you just don’t know what to paint. Just play with no pressure or expectations!

  6. I love the teaching parts of your vids! You're wild and sling paint like no other. Having started as an oil painter, moved through acrylics, mixed media to finally…amazing watercolors and gouache, it's disconcerting to see people in the beginning cut scenes doing what is obviously oils or maybe acrylics. It's nice, but I'd rather see enjoyable closeups of your own work. Just my desire. Many may love seeing artists doing various work on canvas, but I do think that watercolor/gouache demos are why I"m here. I paint simple to complex, but your personality is the key. It's why I enjoy re-watching your older, live vids. The pop-up wording overlays are very instructive during your work. Cheers! Take care! (Never fear, I watch all of your vids).

  7. Everything in life has a rhythm….I think I left mine behind when I walked the dog before breakfast 😁. I stressed over colour, stroke, water, and anything else I could muster up … I never say “die” so I will do this until I run out of supplies 😜

  8. A group of four friends that have not really done any watercolour work in massive amounts. I think we are going to be trying this one of our lady's has never painted before until our last session

  9. I love this exercise definitely going to try it so many good things about this video today thanks again keep up the good work

  10. I make cards. I’ve made so many already for my mother in law’s birthday. She will be 96 this year and sends a zillion cards, so I made a whole box of various cards, with envelopes , stamps, return address labels, and an engraved pen that says love Mom

  11. I think this would be helpful because i either slash around or get so over detailed, but this would both loosen and tighten my painting. i think. I'll try it tomorrow

  12. Tomorrow is my painting day. I think this exercise will be a great way, not only to warm up, but to also get some practice with a brush I’m not very familiar with. Really looking forward to trying it.

  13. Kristy, I tell ALL my friends who want to enjoy watercolors with me in my new obsession that YOU have revolutionized and SAVED painting for new painters from fear, fatigue and failure!! YOU are my FAVORITE!!

  14. I tryed to Paint allang with you Buth it was too fast, however I painted all 12 and it was great Fun !! Thank you for this exercise! And I did it at 8 in the morning, so it cheers up my hole day

  15. That seems like a fun exercise! I'm a heavily over thinker so it woukd be interesting to see what my brain would do with this.

Also, I LOVE that fluorescent yellow 😍

  16. Yes, Kristy. These exercises are super duper useful. I paint mega easy exercises in my watercolour tutorial YouTube videos and guess what? It's actually helping ME to stay creative. I live in London and space is luxury therefore I'm depending my creative life on little paintings like yours. And now I'm enjoying them so much more than my old huge acrylic canvas paintings I used to do. I'm even addicted to all different watercolour pallets, I think like yourself too😅. Anyway enough talking about myself 😅, your videos are huge inspiration. Thank you for your incredible work.🥰

  17. Thanks 😊 again Kristy for your inspiring message of Joy!!! It helps release the mindset of not coloring outside the lines!!! Wonderful idea!!! A California Gramma ♥️

  18. This was great! I get bored quickly so I love to do cards … lots of little paintings in a row. I've yet to come back with more paint, but, I always find a way to come back with a fineliner to add little details. Thanks for the inspiration for more landscapes!

  19. These mini landscapes are great and beautiful. Followed along with you, but now I need to figure out how to get this on a 8×10 or larger. Looks so easy.

  20. Love this exercise! The 12s rule is an awesome concept. I will give give it a go. You are a true water whisperer. Thanks again. Marjorie from Georgia US
