  1. It's obvious, you do your homework on a project before you begin anything. I am a small town dweller so I do not have any experience in animals larger than rabbit and quail. There are two channels I really like that talk about sheep. The Shepherdess and Greg Judy Regenerative Farm. The primary decisions seem to be wool vs hair sheep, and parasite resistant sheep. I'm sure there are more, but these are the two I watch. The Shepherdess raises cattle and sheep, and discusses the cost and time factor as well as profitability of both. Greg Judy talks a good deal about soil, and grass development, along with his pride in what he has developed toward parasite resistance.

  2. Have seen attachment I belive that would useful for your situation it a kind of loader bucket but it's slotted bottom that would allow dirt and smaller pebbles to separate from bigger rock and stones granted be bit rediculous to think of doing field but for garden and wherever need dirt than stones like in ground greenhouse

  3. You have a lot of tall thin trees that you can make a woven fence out of. You can use metal post to weave them through. Would be more labor but would last a long time.

  4. Using your T Post puller put a nail spike through one of the T Post holes above the puller. It will prevent slipping.

  5. Seeing that plane made me think that it would be cool to have a plane. You have enough land to build a runway.

  6. Get a thin piece of rubber like bicycle inner tube and wrap post where the puller can get a good grip on post and not slide 👍

  7. It’s good to see Gina there helping you. So glad she’s feeling better. Good job on the fence. 👍❤️

  8. Perhaps a trip up to the logging site might yield a few scoops of top soil with all the decaying matter it could help a little

  9. Soon you will all be at the OGP and you'll be able to focus all your time on it. That was also a clever idea for the corner posts!

  10. No way you can pull high tensile wire on those flimsy plastic corner posts, but you'll see soon enough.
Using a level on the drill bit then still getting them wrong 🤣🤣, sometimes Al just cracks me up.
Not sure how you are going to farm such rocky ground, I wonder if you knew that before you bought it ? Don't even think about plowing it

  11. Gina, We all know what Al is doing without YOU explaining everything like we all are STUPID !! These videos would be a lot more enjoyable IF You didn't ad-lib everything the way you do ! For the Love of God, ZIP IT ! Or as Archie Bunker use to say , '' Stifle Yourself Edith ! '' !!!

  12. Al, … That's the same type of Wood Auger Bit that Electricians use to bore holes through Stud Framing Members and Joists ! I have several like that in various sizes and also the Bits for drilling through Brick, Concrete, and cinder blocks.

  13. Glad to see Gina back. – smiling and being a great sidekick to her hubby. God bless you all – goats, chickens and family for sharing your journey.

  14. Al, sorry for my ignorance, could you tell me what brand t post you got, and the brand of the drill for going through rocks? I couldn't understand the brands when mentioned due to lack of knowledge. Thank you.

Love and prayers for Gina and the family.

  15. That fencing system is really slick looking and quite practical for your rock farming (as opposed to dirt farming) situation. One suggestion, would be to throw a high tensile strength bolt through a bolt hole on the T post for your fence puller to get a purchase on.
Looking forward to seeing all your animals on the OGH! Continuing in prayer for your healing Gina!

  16. It's going to be nice to see the animals moved. Gina looks like she is feeling better. It's snowing in Redmond ,Oregon 11.1.22😮

  17. You should get a tooth for the excavator.
Especially with all the rocks you have and you might even check to see if you can buy some rock teeth.

  18. Gina you look amazing! So great to seeing your projects on the move. I would love an update on the goats…. I miss Hope!

  19. Yes I know what you mean installing fence post as we live on a island and we very little top soil and a lot of rocks . My wife wanted to have a garden but we ended up with a rock garden. Love watching the progress you have made on your house and land.

  20. Hey, I didn't know there were any PVC products that can be used outside & be free from UV break down!!! This is so good to know. Thanks

  21. Good morning Lumnah family and fellow viewers! Great, putting some fencing in! So you want sheep, are you going with the hair sheep Lumnahs? They don't have to be sheared. I'm glad you're going with an electrified fence. Nice corners! The Tan Man is there! Wow, those were some good sized rocks where the post is supposed to go. Good thing you used the excavator! Love your spigots! Nice, set it in concrete! That gate and post looks good. Thanks for showing us this new type of fencing. it looks like the wire can run right through the holes in the post which is so much nicer than putting wire brackets off of each post.😁🐐

  22. Al can you keep track of how much wood that boiler uses from say Nov1 to May 1? just want to see what kind of efficiency you are actually getting on that little house! anyway if you do, thanks! in cords or whatever works for you.

  23. Al, when you have an abundance of lemons you make lemonade. You have an abundance of free rocks, ya just got to figure a way to use them to surface anchor your fence posts, eliminating the need to drive them into the rocky soil. Not suggesting you build rock walls!!!

  24. be interested to see where the snow blows in. it may take a couple seasons to get the fencing right

  25. be interested to see where the snow blows in. it may take a couple seasons to get the fencing right

  26. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👀👀👀👍👍👍☕️☕️☕️🍻🍻🍻🥃🥃🥃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

  27. Al, your outdoor heaters ability to reburn all the gasses from the wood. Is that like a catalytic converter on an automobile and burns off all the carbon dioxide? I think that would make a great difference on the environment great idea.
