  1. Can you build a wall like this on "old" concrete ? I have an old crumbling foundation I want to resurface with new concrete and build a low wall around it like this maybe with out the stucco at a faux rock face and wide flat rim to be used as additional seating or a place to set potted plants I would be grateful for any advice or tips.

  2. It can be better, when you do the mort on the wall you have to streghten it then you go over with a trovel to finish it,then you wil not see this uneven sufaces on the sun.

  3. Your videos are greatly detailed, so much so that this DIY guy said "Imma just pay someone to do this!!"

  4. @Odell Complete Concrete Could you use this as 3 foot retaining wall? Or would you need to fill in the the inside of the blocks to make it stronger?

  5. I need to stop watching your videos
Last night I had a dream I was on a project.. I woke up mad looking for a garden hoe

  6. Great job although I would have reinforced those columns. The health and safety of the homeowner and their family is more important that’s the idiots doing donuts.

  7. I'd had two US flag straw hats and they always wear out from the top, just like that guy working.

  8. What’s the average square feet of the area and approximately how much would this project cost?

  9. Mr. O'Dell love your videos very informational. I have a question about the footing. What did you use cement or concrete or mortar? What brand? Thank you in advance sir

  10. I see you did not use any rebar in the footing. I saw one did a wall in my area and they did use rebar in the footing. Would you need the rebar for a higher wall say six foot or just pour maybe a deeper footing. Nice job I think I would have made the wall come to the house to close it off and give it a better look.

  11. 1. why not run re-bar through the footing and tie vertical steel to it? 2. Vertical steel is no good unless its mounted to footing steel, and a small beam(cap) should have been cast with concrete and steel(tied to vertical steel) to run along the top of blocks, this top beam would ensure the columns and blocks dont pull away from each other, and also prevent the wall from leaning sideways. Also, how did you tie the new wall into the existing wall?

  12. hi O'Dell how do you build a wooden house with four concrete pillars inside of the four corners of the house?

  13. did you really just buried the sprinkler in concrete? what if it breaks and needs to be change?

  14. Are you filling up those blocks with mortar where is the ribars are Or just sitting in a hollow block?

  15. Awesome job!! Quick question for anyone, could I put brick on the outside of the blocks or would that not be supportable? Trying to see whether or not I have to do the whole wall brick, or just the exterior of blocks.

  16. When I helped my dad build his wall we filled i wih rocks and cement to ensure that it was a stronger barrier in case a car ever went over the curb. Also I recommend you use thicker rebar and go deeper into the ground for concrete foundation
