From our Editor Thad Orr: In the upcoming Summer 2017 issue we profile potter and gardener @francespalmer . I love her perspective on making pottery, growing flowers, and life.
She says, “Projects are done when they are done.” She stays steadfast in her creative pursuit of beautiful pots. She researches designs at museums while travels, studies Dutch masters, and is always testing how her pottery interacts with the flowers she grows. Palmer says, “Because I had studied the history of vessels and how they work in society and food,” she says, “I saw that they were integral to civilization.
