    I just had 3 100gallon collapsible water barrels delivered they are made by a company called “Vingli “ have them dismantled in my garage. I also have 2 100 gallon “ water bobs”. I think in an emergency I could assemble and fill everything in about 45 minutes. Got the collapsible barrels on e bay.

    I have heavy sheet plastic rolls I plan to use to seal off rooms in my house and my basement for such event. Seal it up good and duct tape all the seams.
    Will have one area on my porch sealed from both inside and outside as decontamination area.
    Will it be enough? Maybe not. But it's better than nothing when you don't have a bunker. I have had this planned out years ago. I replace my plastic rolls every 2 years so it doesn't crack easily.
    Use old stuff to winterize everything outside that I need to cover or seal up so it doesn't go to waste.
    Plastic sheeting has gone up this year a lot and it's time to rotate it out now.
    I figure the basement to be the best protection. And I really only need to seal ceiling and couple windows.

    putting potting soil in 5 gallon buckets now (provided it doesnt mildew) might work to grow food after the fallout ruins the soil.

    Thank You, interesting some important things I did not know. I prep in Mylar and Food Saver. Do you think Food Saver is safe also?
    And a word of advice regarding "You get what you pay for." I had ordered a cheap safety suit through Amazon made in China that would only fit a Mini China person! Lol
