  1. I think that Mr Danny and Ms Wanda should make some calendars using photos of their farm 😊.

  2. I am older than Google too. Fact I and thousands like me in the IT biz laid the networks that Google uses today. No appreciation for the 'roads' they travel on.

  3. Thanks for this video…I went over and subscribed. I'm sure I will enjoy his channel and glean some great ideas. I was born in W. Tennessee and still here, so I have had the frost days too. Just built my cattle panel green house. Looks like I will have to be container gardening in the future since the last couple years I haven't had anything that will grow in the ground. I'm willing to try anything that will work.

  4. When I shake hands on an agreement I am going to try with everything to keep that promise. I think I don’t belong in this century.

  5. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I kept nodding my head and laughing out loud at the truths. I am going to use the phrase: "I am older than google" from now on! lol I loved my grandma's encyclopedia, I loved going to the library and I loved talking with old people. I learned so much this way. Back in the day sustainable farming was the way everyone farmed. It is funny how none of the young folk know this. I think agricultural colleges destroyed the traditional and successful ways of farming. The farmers sent their young to agricultural colleges and when those young came home they changed the way the family farm was run. They took out the hedgerows, they stopped crop rotations and bought bigger machines and chemicals (going into debt) to grow whatever it was they were growing. They even changed what they grew in many cases. And then they quit, because it was not sustainable.

  6. I just love it when Mr. Mickey & Mr. Danny come together for a friendly chat…And I subscribed to Hills Mill Homestead channel from the start! Great channel you have Mr. Mickey 😄

  7. Oh wow what your friend just said Danny about the world being set up nowadays like you’re a dishonest person that’s so true and so sad but so wonderful of people that are on us not to have to carry those things on their shoulders , God is good 🙏👆♥️

  8. Great video, and nice company are always a blessing. I'm older than google as well, glad of it. God bless.

  9. Such a wonderful conversation to be part of. Talking about your word defines a person. My grandpa taught me when I was young that our word defines us. Back when deals were made with handshakes. I never forgot his wise words. And I live by his words.

  10. Mr. Micky and Mr. Danny when my husband was in business contracting houses of business buildings etc. if I talk to the person in charge or a homeowner I could tell if he was going to get paid or not if they were out to rip us off and I don’t know what it was it was just a sense I had in the first time it happened he was roofing a house in Murray Kentucky and now we were paying for the roofing we were to get paid at the end of the job well the woman got a roof but she kept her money and he really got relying on me to the sense I had he would have the person to talk to me before he gave them a contract he would tell them that he needed they need to talk to my secretary for her to take down information and I came up with questions just simple stuff to ask and I was able to tell I know people being dishonest goes way back to the into The 70s and the 80s and early part of the 90s before he retired and you know it seem to get worse as time went on I just don’t like dealing with lots of people anymore I’m very selective and who I deal with as I want honesty but this world is so so full of criminals which is nothing but the devil at work love you guys talk later bye-bye

  11. Listening to you guys is so rewarding. Yall make me want to start more honey dos. Thanks for the topics.

  12. Absolutely Mickey! I strongly believe in beauty AND functional! Theres no sense in wasting time, space and resources for something to only look nice. So many people make things museum like and cant use it for anything. Decorations, structure anything it has to be beautiful and functional plain and simple. We dont have "things" in our house just sitting around, I dont believe in it.

  13. Kid you not son
If you don't get water, I'll pay for it.
    Dyo get water?
    WELL
    What's for supper?

    Never dismiss Aged Know how.
They earned every single solitary ring.

It'll sure enough save you money, keep you happy, and keep you warm as seasoned firewood.

  14. I'm am a Deep South follower for sometime now, and even though I am an 80 year old lady, I really enjoyed this video. The only thing I would have added to it would have been my Dad sitting between you two. He was a man who fit in anywhere, as he knew a little bit about a lot of things. He was a woodworker, and a retired electrical engineer. You two stay the course and keep these kinds of videos coming!

  15. Dear Danny and Wanda, How about a Deep South Calendar, like your friend just mentioned early in the video!

It could have beautiful photos and maybe what you’re planting by month but easier just to stop at a beautiful photos, maybe your tractor, your pond, the inside of your greenhouse, your sugarcane, your your corn, your pumpkins, your lemon tree, your canning, etc. you’re such an inspiration!

  16. My dad sold 30 ash trees to a logger specifically for shipping to Louisville, Kentucky. After the logger was done we came in and cleaned up the branches for firewood. There are still a few left in his woods that are well over 30 inches acrossed. The ash borers have killed them. But it is more than a chainsaw can handle unless a young man can handle a big saw. Nice wood pile.

  17. Always good to hang out with you and Mikey. Hey Danny how about building a small walk in smoker so you can hang and smoke meats. We didn't have google or even internet when we were growing up and I remember we have and old set of encyclopedias. Sears catalog to email order all kinds of things. My Dad showed me how to read the Farmers Almanac and every Christmas Rochelle get's me the new years addition. That was a great conversation. God Bless, Mike

  18. Mount a long mirror on the ceiling over the mantle so it will reflect the top of that beautiful wood finish on the top of that grand mantle. It’s a shame you can’t see it

  19. I saw ten seconds of the video, and when I saw the wood, I kno he’ the man from Tupelo. I admire he drives the wood like 300 miles by road
    To around Hattiesburg , MS

  20. Really loved this. Reminds me so much of when I was a kid listening to good conversation and learning from experience. So much knowledge and wisdom from your experiences.
