  1. That’s a little obsessive…lol! It’s not that serious unless there is an edge inspector coming…lol!!!

  2. You're killing the tree with the mulch up that high around it's trunk. And clients actually paid you to do this? And, why does the "circle" have to be a perfect? That's so boring. Make a design out of it. Jeez, every video on this subject shows a perfect circle. BORING!

  3. I have a sugar maple with roots near the tree. It would be almost impossible for me to mulch mine. Plus it's too close to a fence.

  4. Have you ever heard that trying miracle gro potting mix moisture control vs mulch is a good choice? Please advise. Thanks

  5. Super pretty, love to see that drainage ditch or whatever is going on the side of your house that pattern is interesting.

  6. So when adding new mulch you dont need to take away the old mulch? You can just add the new mulch on top of the old mulch?

  7. Does somebody knows what kind of grass is the one around the trees? Looks how I want mine to look like

  8. I totally agree the edges make all the difference. My issue is that the lawn that goes up to the flowerbeds is not nice and thick. So that really stops the edges looking so good. I live in Canada and so we get a lot of crabgrass which I try using pre emergent killer. But we also have a thick grass and just loves to grow at the edges. Should I just cut back about 6ins and put in some sod? I have worked so hard on the flower beds and really would love to take it to the next step. Any suggestions Thanks

  9. Toggled between watching you edge…and staring at the beautiful breeze block by your front door! Thanks for the video.

  10. i think it already came up in the comments, but dont smother that root flare yo. also, ideally u gonna want a larger mulch bed for those big trees, also, try not to use a dyed mulch. landscaping is one of our most immediate ways to improve our local ecosystem, every little bit helps, genuinely.

  11. My bassett hounds wreak havoc on the grass around the base of my trees going after the squirrels. I'm thinking I may do something like this just for that reason.

  12. Important note, mulch should not cover up the root flare of the tree, so if you only see the trunk and no flaring out of the top of the root system over the years it will cause problems. I would lower the mulch by the bottom of the tree another 4-6 inches down. If you don't believe me ask an arborist 🙂

  13. Looks awful. Need to lay 2 or three layers of stone border around the much circle. Our HOA would write that up
