About This Queen Creek Backyard

These Queen Creek customers wanted to design their paradise by maximizing the space they had in their backyard. Adding destination areas throughout the yard for enjoyment with the fire pit, outdoor kitchen and putting green was a priority. The home sits on a golf course featuring a beautiful view of the nearest fairway. Creating an open freeform design feel to all destination points in the outdoor environment was part of the vision as well.

The focal point from inside the home is the large freeform spa with the natural boulder waterfall. The Caspian Sea Glass Pebble interior pairs naturally with the blue stone waterline tile. Over 700 square feet of Moka Tumbled Travertine carry throughout the backyard, adding a clean natural look to the space. The spa is highlighted by the Natural Boulder waterfall that adds an ambiance to the environment. The spa is capped with travertine that connects to the firepit in order to add to the natural freeform design.

Creating Outdoor Entertainment Destinations

Maximizing the existing space for active and passive activities was a focus in this Queen Creek backyard. The bbq cooking area sits on the far left of the yard next to an open deck area that is utilized for entertaining. The yard is balanced by the AZ Pro Putt putting green that has two cups. The recreational area is surrounded by CPL Designer Synthetic Turf. The fire pit is a foot tall and over four feet wide and connects to the freeform spa.

Incorporating Landscape Design Throughout The Yard

The landscaping in this backyard contributes to the natural feel and adds several design accents. Two Pygmy Palms sit on each side of the waterfall and accentuate the focal point of the yard. There are 13 shrubs distributed throughout the area including Little John Bottlebrush, Petite Pink Oleanders and Arizona Yellow Bells. The Apache Brown screened granite rock is a natural transition from the travertine and runs around the perimeter of the outdoor environment.

Hopefully, these backyard design ideas helped you figure out some design elements that you might enjoy in your own backyard.
