Container Planting of Ice Dance Japanese Sedge “Carex Morrowii”

A gardener friend has sent me a generous batch of Ice Dance Japanese Sedge. She has a section in her yard covered with this.
Love the grassy texture and the variegated leaves. Keeping them in containers and on my front steps. Also considering placing them in the landscape in the future.
I have two last year but have lost them to the unexpected freeze in February and March. Will definitely protect these two and not send them out in the cold till weather is warmer
