Container Gardening Soil Mix – Garden Tower

For container gardening, I like to use a potting mix with no soil.
If you look at the ingredients on the bag, I would be looking for peat moss, aged forest product, vermiculite or perlite, and a wetting agent.
You would not want to use top or garden soil, it will get too compacted.
I like to add red wigglers to any container or raised bed I fill. Red worms are the best for containers, larger worms do not do as well.
The worms will create tunnels for air, water and nutrients and they will create a wonderful fertilizer.
