Edible Gardening

More Than We Expected

Today we’re in the kitchen preserving the last of the harvests. Bell peppers and Cucuzzi seed harvesting, which turned out to be a lot nastier than we thought it would be.

Today’s music, in order (available through Epidemic Sound http://bit.ly/2Mt3tXm ):
Intro: Let Me Love You by Loving Caliber
Feel So Lucky by Cody Francis
Eldorado by Blue Steel

  1. Does Buggy know her real name? It’s Liliana, right? My granddaughter’s name is Liliana and we call her Lili. But Buggy is a cute endearment and she is just the cutest and smart little one,

  2. Did I miss the meat hanging from the ceiling? I’ll go look but if it wasn’t just me, can u mention it? I kno meat hanging it a thing but that looks cleaner than any deer hanging I e seen. LOVE u guys!

  3. If you wanna get rid of the burn but not the flavor of hot peppers, my dad pours boiling water over them and lets it sit for a few minutes, then adds the vinegars/spices etc into that pepper and cooled water.

  4. Question – have you ever canned "Deconstructed Stuffed Pepper Soup"? I used to make it when I had a bunch of bell, banana and mis. peppers.

  8. Meg is always busy in the kitchen and Buggie her little helper is always there to lend a hand. Meg you are a trooper and Ben your hard work in prepping the garden for all the plants is a real two man team some more with all the kids lending a hand. I think you guys get a medal award from me for hard work, patience, and humour and love in your videos. Thank you for all your hard work and filming. By the way what ever happened to your car after you had that accident (2nd one), did you get it back?.

  9. Do you have a Facebook account?

    I need some!… for a Christmas gift…

  10. I started watching this yesterday while Eating lunch…I quick paused to finish watching later. I hate was nasty slimming thing. I'm surprised Meg didn't say take that smelly thing outside. Sounds like a good food source when tender.

  11. I use a cleaner for seeds and veggies that get plants sprayed they just have to but the cleaner is called FIT is sales in my grocery store in the produce area. That cleaner you spray rub around wash good it takes slim off seed's and dirt yuck with garden poop mixed up around veggies I want to not think and get veggies cleaned up good.

  12. I pulled a bunch of peppers a few weeks ago when the weather was to get close to 32. I have got to get them in the dehydrator too.
