Tackling the outside at the passion project has been something that has been on our minds for a long time we can finally say that the outside transformation has started and we can’t wait to share with you what we have been up to x

Its been over 5 years since we started the renovation project and we finally tackle the exterior renovations 🙂

    I would think you would paint those ornamental tops of the pillars the same color as the gates. I have seen shades of green that were almost black. Whatever you choose, I would keep it the same.

    The urns should match the gates, so all black with a small touch of gold. Exciting to get the land cleaned up. Will make a huge change and the finishing touch. xx

    Everything is looking so great. If you paint the gates black with gold I would paint the urns black. Will you be planting flowers in the urns?

    The urns need to be black, with gold trims, if you're putting gold on the black gates. It'll look very classy!!

    Ed and Anna…your passion project is coming along so well.. it will be stunning. Ed, I've experienced exorbitant quotes for yard work here in America, too. It seems contractors charge by the zip code where I live! I hope your English contractor comes through for you. Oh, and I vote for Black urns with the black fence.

I like the idea of black colour urns matching the gates. Touch of gold on the gates and urns. Not that I’m an expert far from it. That’s just my opinion. Good luck with whatever you choose 😁

    There is product called "flex seal" it comes in spray or paste. You can order it on Amazon or ebay.

    I think you should paint the pillar toppers black. Looks good and is practical. Paint the spikes and the decorative details of the gate gold. Maybe paint just the outside rim of the toppers gold.

    Looking at the gate, I think the spears at the top should be gold and the middle design of repeated squares should be gold (so the gold is not all “up in the air” but is balanced and the eye is not just drawn up into the air).

    Looking great! I like that you found a new spot where the sick tree could flourish. Funny how that goes sometimes. BTW what does you being English have to do with property value in France. Is that part of the French property appraisal process? Country of origin of owner? 🤨🤨🤨
