My favorite spinach varieties:
I prefer flat-leaf or smooth-leaf varieties because they required less cleaning: Giant Winter, Olympia, Space

Garlic featured in the video: White Russian
I grow hardneck garlic — Better flavor, GIANT cloves, stores longer, and thrives in cooler climates.

Notes on raised beds: We built them from 4×6-inch lumber. Yes, a little more expensive, but sturdier. I can set tools on them, walk on them… you get the idea.
