*** Spring Seed Starting Spreadsheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vPR6V7g9UbafkSJLdqjaJS28Gb27W0buEq45pGiSTdw/edit?usp=sharing

You can download a copy.

The original should not allow you to change anything in it.
Download a copy and you should be able to edit your copy. Click File and then Make a Copy.

Then you change the date in the top left corner in yellow. That is supposed to be your last frost date.

ONLY change the date in yellow to your frost free date and the dates to sow seeds will change. Changing other cells could alter the equation.

You can find your last frost Date here!

  1. Another great and informative video! 😄
Have you tried growing your squash later in the season to wait for the vine borers prime life cycle to pass? This was my first year growing pumpkins at this house and lost most of my plants and learned planting later could’ve helped. I’ll delay my cucumbers too probably. – Alex

  2. Excellent tips! Folks often set themselves up by over doing it instead of pacing themselves and planting too much. Weeding! Ughhh! But you’re so right Rose! Succession seeding is key! Yes! Plant those perennials yesterday! I love to experiment with my garden plants! This is where my name, The Reckless Gardener comes in play! Lol! I LOVE to experiment with the garden!!! It’s so fun to garden! You did a great job on this video!

  3. Some good tips I really liked. Not giving up on something that doesn’t grow well one season is s good one. When it grows well, it makes it all the better.

  4. I’ve never understood why folks were willing to add lots of epsom salt to their gardens when they weren’t seeing any signs of magnesium deficiency. It can lead to a salinity issue and kill everything.

  5. All great tips Rose. The last one about people vowing never to plant something again is so true. I saw a video about planting potatoes in a bucket. Was so excited to try it. The leaves got chomped on and they didn't do great. I got one tiny spud and I was so happy because if one can grow that means I did it right. I'm trying it again.

  6. Yes! I cried my eyes out when I watch a little bee die in front of me after I sprayed my squash with neem. Now I only use it on plants without flowers. ~Heather

  7. Love your tip #4, so true! This year was a bumper crop for peppers here in Michigan. So many of my gardening friends are swearing by the particular plant they planted this year, and I'm like they all did well! Farmers market was selling them a dollar a bag, because the supply was so plentiful. Next year, who knows???????

  8. Great video and links to great channels. Have to ck out last one. Don't know her. Sunshine farm is in my neck of the woods..hoping to meet her soon! Thanks for tips and lots of hugs!

  9. Honestly REALLY enjoyed this, i enjoy tips/advise from other gardeners as i am "kinda" new at the game, this will be helpful & GREATLY appreciate this share!!😊😊
