I have a similar size veg garden. At harvest I am swamped with preservation. I am retired so no full time outside job. Do you do all of your preservation by yourself. Also your camera person is very good.
Thank you for sharing, I'm also living in maryland. This year is my first time being able to get a plot in a community garden to do some planting. I'm getting a beating with the drought. My potatoes have cracks in them that healed over and everything is just suffering from the heat. I'm truly grateful to be able to plant and eat from the garden, which is truly a blessing. I can't believe it took me so long to see this channel! Great work Mark! Everything looks beautiful. My garden is really small compared to yours even though I have 6 acres I live on. But I am one disabled person so I grow for one person, I love your cattle panels and that's what I'm lacking. I put up anything I could find for the cucumbers, an old camera tripod, shelving that fell out of a closet that now the pole beans grow up words on. Your garden is magnificent. Thank you so much for sharing! ( Love your pup… I raised two Rottweilers and they were my best friends for many years. 🐾🦴🦴Now I have seven cats, all rescues).

I planted borage in our old house 8 years ago. Borage kept self seeding throughout the following year. When we moved to our new house 6 years ago we took a lot of the garden bed soil with us. I have never planted borage in the new house yet every year we have so many plants come up. They are always the first to flower and the bees love it.

Here in the UK, we've had a wetter than normal summer, meaning that things are still looking quite fresh for the time of year. It's interesting to see what and how you grow plants where you are.
All the videos I have watched so far are great! The ground cherries took me back to my grandparents farm, laying on my stomach and eating these off the ground. But, not all of them, because she would make pie! I enjoy learning and listening.
I Want to see the cucumbers grown when their hanging from the top of the cow fence structure thingy 🙂 has that happened yet ? If so, where can I see them, I bet that looks pretty cool. Sooo imaginative with great insight. God, I can’t get a tomato to grow for the life of me, LOL. Tried growing elephant ears and they’ve been growing since 4 months ago and they won’t get any bigger than like 2 1/2 inch leaf length, SOOOO DISAPPOINTED ☹️😟😩 So I RE-NAMED them, Mouseketeer ears, ever since I put miracle grow on them they’ve been like that. I have lots to learn about planting 😂 ohh well,,, Maybe someday my thumb will be green.
I cant wait to grow produce in my backyard but first need a fence. I live in FL, have a conservation area right behind my yard so raccoons, armadillo, lynx & deer would have a field day with anything I sow. But yes, a lovely, organized space like yours would be a haven for me. ❤️
I'm not sure if anyone commented on this but I believe those schwarzenberren are edible type of black nightshade. Just make sure you have the edible strain because we have the unedible variant called mustakoiso popping up in fields here in Finland. It's considered a weed that plagues specifically potato fields as it steals nutrients from potatoes. it is related to potato and tomato. You can eat both the ripe berries and boiled leaves. Just make sure the berries are ripe. The raw berry is more toxic than the ripe one.
Edit: It shouldn't be terribly toxic but eating a large number of berries is probably going to give you upset stomach
You really put in a lot of work and it seems to be paying off…..you must be able to put away food to last you all year…how wonderful is that…..thanks for sharing!
I've not been watching your videos in order (I just recently discovered your channel), so it's interesting to have first seen your garden later in the season, then see it in its early season state. I've always thought of a garden as something you plant early in the season, but had never considered that it could evolve over the season, with new plantings. I like that you seem to mix your expertise with some thoughtful experimentation (and whimsy). BTW, your farm setting is truly beautiful. It was easier to see the surroundings when you garden plants were smaller. I'm happy I discovered your channel.

Your beds look great. What do you mulch with?
Purple. Butterflies like the color purple. So they just cover my asters. And goldfinches love sunflowers. Really like your garden arrange. 👍

This is very informative! Have you talked about lilacs? I'm near Whidbey Island and they thrive here. You'd give good advice about how to trim them.

Oaxaca is a place. Oaxacan would probably refer to the place. It's pronounced as wah-hah-cah/ wah-hah-cahn.
