   Done the best I could to buy cans and repackage by mylar bags or vacuum. I have seeds but haven't planted yet and I do have 2 hydroponics for my seeds.

   I am blind and in a wheelchair I am on a fixed income how do you expect me to do any of the things that you are saying I do not have a car I do not have insurance on the car my mortgage is 75% of my social security

   My kids usually pick from my Amazon wish list for my Christmas gifts. I put a hydroponic system on my list. I'm getting one for myself next month so hopefully I'll have 2. I live in an apartment and have a little bit of east facing deck to work with in the summer. If I have 2 then if my youngest who also lives in an apartment needs it I can give one to her. Or maybe I'll just get another in January for her birthday in May. The other 3 kids have yards. One has an amazing garden every year. My oldest's husband is a gardener at one of the big St Louis gardens. And the other loves plants. Maybe they'll all get one for their next birthday. Sorry, thinking out loud here lol.

   When I go out for a walk, I pick up empty beverage cans and bottles and return them for the deposit (five cents a can/bottle) and I use that money to add to my preps.

   1 in 6 or 7 AMERICANS..Maybe they are NOT american citizens. people move to usa to get on the dole.

   Im a senior i get 20 a month on ebt. Why? Oh because i worked all my life. My neighbors across street mom,dad, 2 kids who don't work dont want to they get 1000 a month in ebt. Free insurance, free internet because government gives it to them for free due to kids in school. While i sit here with no cable just internet. While im prep and they set over there and let government take care of them. No i can't work anymore due to a bad leg surgery while now have rod on hip and leg all the way to ankle . Bottom line i live now on social security handicapped dont drive and im prep. Im tied of hearing excuses why someone cant pick up a couple of cans at a time for later down the road. I CANT doesn't fit in my vocabulary.

   Lots of things people can cut down on. I'm not saying everyone…. It's just a lot of time I see long fingernails that isn't their own. Expensive makeup. Hair extensions and coloring all different colors. I don't even want to ask what people are doing with their eyebrows now a days. Looking like 2 dark wooly caterpillars on their face lol. Iphones are another. I carry a tracfone. I pay $20-$40 every three months depending on what I need. When I ask I get excuses like well my mom paid for it. How about telling your mom you need food. All these separate streaming services. Expensive premade junk food is another. Lots of things people can cut down on.

    Option's always look for alternatives,I am lucky enough to have a basement,buying my parents home"praying"fingers crossed",my father had a huge pool table in the basement"was wonder how the heck,I was going to get that out,!but instead know I see it as the perfect place to put grow bags,containers ect on,went out and purchased grow lights to fit a ballist and new ballist to hang over pool table,to my long foldable table"for when guests over and that is where i will place potatoes,onions,squash ect,Trying to rearrange the whole house to pick the spots best suited to maintain not only growing my own year round,but proper temps for canned goods ect,not to mention the added family that will"need to be here"if everything goes south!,was going to take"my share"and move south,but my sister's procrastinating and my neighbor,80 year's old,has no one to watch over her,so I'm staying put and praying that I can get all accomplished before"No longer possible".I pray that those in need will have someone to come along and help them.We will need to ban together and come together in support"of those the father puts before us.

    My one small window that gets light I put hanging baskets in with mint, basil and scallions. I wasn't sure if they would get enough light however the scallions seem to be the only one not doing very good. And less than a month I've already harvested off the basil plant twice my mint I've harvested and the plant itself is growing unbelievably. I'm actually going to give away some her plants for Christmas to encourage people to start growing! If I can do it in my little window that has bubble wrap and plastic on it I feel like anybody can do it.

    43% of Americans go out to eat every night? Wouldn't that be equal to like a monthly car or house payment ? Restaurants are beginning to get so expensive due to their rising food costs. I don't care how good that side salad or burger looks for take out. I'll grow and make my own salad. That burger will be made on my grill. Mine would taste better anyway. (And at least I'd know WHAT I'm eating). 😂

    If Americans don’t take part in Snap Benefits the government will just give it to evacuees and illegals. Take everything that’s offered to you if you are eligible for it.

    I live on disability and in a small apartment that faces north. I do have a small deck where I can put out some pots. I did not have good results with many of my pots but I did get some to yield. I finished my shopping yesterday. occasionally I get fgood gifts from others and they don't know I prep. this winter I'm gonna pick up some seeds to add to my seed stash
