Pop Art Comic Book Nails | Nail Trends 2022

Hi Everyone!

Today Sarah shows you how to create these colourful comic book beauties that will brighten up your day in these cold and wet autumn days.

Sarah starts off by showing you how to infill an almond nail. She removes the bulk with an e-file and 180 grit file before prepping the natural nail with the russian manicure bit, cleaning away the dust with a lint free wipe and gel residue wipe off solution and then adding dehydrator and primer. She then takes her own blend of acrylic (50/50 Soft Beige and Rose Glow) and fills in the grown out space on Ellas nails.

Once the acrylic has set Sarah perfects the shape with a 240 grit file and cleans the dust away ready for painting the design. Sarah takes five different colours and in turn gives each nail two coats and cures.

She then paints a border around each nail using Serious Black and a fine detailing brush and a small c shaped curve to the top corner of each nail and cures this. Sarah takes Snow White and adds the same C shape to the bottom corner of the nail before going in with a darker version of each colour already on the nail for the final swoop to really give it that Pop Art Comic Book effect.

Sarah top coats each nail and uses Tropical Punch cuticle oil as the final touch.
