  1. I love *Mrs. Rocky, adorable. ๐Ÿฅฐ Feeling feisty with that gust of wind. ๐Ÿ˜…
Nasturtium seeds can be processed and turned into "poor man's capers!" I think you harvest when they are younger seed pods. I've never done it but I've heard it's delicious.

  2. When Rocky ran off, he was feeling good with the wind. Cats do that. He loves you. Just talk to him and stroke him.

  3. If a Parsnip is well formed, push down and pull up usually works. Trouble is, they often divide into more than one root. Then, the only way is use the digging fork to loosen it!

  4. Did you know you can eat the nasturtium flowers and petals? Throw them on a salad and they give a peppery kick and bonus they are beautiful! Maybe take a stash home with you

  5. Love it. That was hilarious. I've had a allotment for just over 2 years and still learning. Every year is driffrent. Just kerp growing you will find what works for you and your allotment ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  6. It is a long hike to your plot from the gate, Emma! Maybe some new boots are in order to keep your feet dry. Perhaps Santa will bring some! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Great parsnips too. Maybe poor Rocky was spooked by a ghost the way he took off….. poor little dude! โค๏ธ๐Ÿพโค๏ธ๐Ÿพโค๏ธ

  7. To help harvest your parsnips try pushing them down into the soil until you hear a pop or a crack sound and then they should be a little easier to remove.

  8. I agree about the weather, so much rain lately. Looking forward to going to the allotment tomorrow. My courgettes were looking like yours so have left them too. That did make me giggle when you got that parsnip out and said about not needing the gym! Rocky loves you, doesnโ€™t he?

  9. I laughed my backside off at you trying to get that parsnip out of the ground. Ive never grown them or even tasted them but it looks good.

  10. Emma… you always make my day. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Been at allotment today myself and pulled out one of my parsnips. ๐Ÿ™‚
