So grateful I stumbled across your channel today. It reminded me that I needed more freeze dried veggies in my stores. Out of gratitude to you, I purchased through your link. In addition to broccoli, spinach and onions. I was so excited to find freeze dried cranberries and acorn squash.
I love cranberries in my oatmeal and squash and spinach in my wild rice.
The Swiss miss is on sale at Costco for only $5 something

I love the battery daddy. Fill on both sides and very sturdy. Hold a ton of batteries!
It takes me forever to get through one of your videos cause I’m always adding things either to my grocery list or to my “to do” list. Thanks for the great work & information. It’s truly appreciated.
That's a huge haul, must have cost a pretty penny. I would not stop, ever, but I would slow down. I have about a year of frozen and staple food we regularly consume in my basement. As I use it, I replenish, I don't have 10 to 25 year freeze dry foods, but I do have rice, flour, etc. in Mylar bags. I only shop for preps when there are sales at my local grocery store, I may drop $50 to $150 each visit. So long as there is high inflation and other uncertainty, I intend to continue.
Those eyes.. I think I'm in Love ❤
Best to decide how long you want to prepare for. Most of us probably don't have the money or the storage space to prepare for long periods of time. World War II lasted from 1939 until 1945; that is, six years. Can any of us hope to keep food, batteries, etc. fresh for six years? Freeze-dried food is an option, of course, but it is frightfully expensive, and its shelf life drops drastically as soon as the can is open. My husband and I decided to prepare for two weeks, representing an area-wide power outage. Even that, by the time we bought a Mr. Buddy heater, a 600 Watt Bluetti, and other essentials (solar lamps, etc.), we had spent more than a few pennies.
Tfs
I have rechargeable batteries and it is really the way to go. They are probably double or triple the price but I’ve used mine every weekend for 5 years with no problems. I would have spent $1000 by now. D batteries don’t hold up too long and are super expensive. I spent $45 for 8. I think….
Great haul. Did you say where you got the gray narrow baskets? I was trying to organize packets and I need some baskets like those. Thank you for sharing your haul. You are so creative with your meals in a jar and other heat and eat recipes. Thanks, again.
Read your title out loud to yourself, that is all.
😎
Thanks for sharing… great ideas…what’s the case if ramen? Was it a different flavor? now I just need more money🥰
So glad I came across your channel! Thanks for all the links. You saved me a ton of searching and I used some of the codes to order.
As I continue to say when I see your pantry haul videos….they are the best! You are a great "shopper". And one other thing that tickles me….that you say "down cellar"…that is how my family always said it but now it seems everyone says, "in the basement"….I get weird looks when I say down cellar! You are delightful! BTW…this is the first video notification that I have seen from you in quite a while for some reason! Take care! 😎
Thanks for the video plus your time and sharing your knowledge. I have a suggestion when it comes to comparing store brand products with name brand ones that you love. For example, @37:38 you have the Great Value and the Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Sauces. If you find you don't like the Great Value as much as the name brand, what you can do, instead of throwing away or donating the Great Value one, you can mix the two using different ratios of each until you come up with a ratio you can deal with until you've used up the Great Value version. I've used this trick with many different products over the years and it has saved us lots of money. I did this with Hunt's ketchup and Heinz ketchup. I don't care so much for the Hunt's brand because it tastes like it has more vinegar than the Heinz. But by mixing the two, the Hunt's brand gets used eventually. I used to like the Hunt's brand, but they either changed their formulation or my taste buds have changed. The Hunt's was on sale, so that's why we stocked up on it. Then when I tasted it, I said, "Man, I can't eat this! There's so much vinegar in it that it takes my breath away!" We have also learned that the Hunt's version works okay with making meat loaf or marinades. But, not by itself right out of the bottle. We also like Tuna in oil, so when there's a sale on Tuna in Water (or the one with oil is sold out), we simply drain off the water and add soak it in a bit of oil. We do the same with canned fruit in its own juice. I realize it's not healthy, but we add corn syrup to make it more enjoyable. I am not afraid of leaving this realm early. To be absent here is to be present with the Lord. Many believe wine is not good for you, but Jesus turned water into wine to make the wedding guests happy. I highly doubt if He would have ever said to His mother, "No! I will not turn the water into wine. Water is healthier for you." 😄
2 Esdras 16:1-78
"Woe to you, Babylon🗽, and Asia! woe to you, Egypt, and Syria! Gird up yourselves with sackcloth and garments of hair, and bewail your children, and lament; for your destruction is at hand. A sword is sent upon you, and who is he that may turn it back? A fire is sent upon you, and who is he that may quench it?
Plagues are sent upon you, and who is he that may drive them away?
May one drive away a hungry lion in the wood? or may one quench the fire in stubble, when it has once begun to burn? May one turn again the arrow that is shot of a strong archer?
The Lord God sends the plagues, and who shall drive them away?
A fire shall go forth from his wrath, and who is he that may quench it? He shall cast lightning, and who shall not fear? he shall thunder, and who shall not tremble? The Lord shall threaten, and who shall not be utterly broken in pieces at his presence?
The earth quaketh, and the foundations thereof; the sea arises up with waves from the deep, and the waves of it shall be troubled, and the fishes thereof also, at the presence of the Lord, and before the glory of his power: for strong is his right hand that bendeth the bow, his arrows that he shooteth are sharp, and shall not miss, when they begin to be shot into the ends of the world.
Behold, the plagues are sent forth, and shall not return again, until they come upon the earth.
The fire is kindled, and shall not be put out, till it consume the foundations of the earth. Like as an arrow which is shot of a mighty archer returns not backward, even so the evils that are sent forth upon earth shall not return again.
Woe is me! Woe is me! Who will deliver me in those days?
The beginning of sorrows, and there shall be great mourning; the beginning of famine, and many shall perish; the beginning of wars, and the powers shall stand in fear; the beginning of plagues, and all shall tremble!
What shall they do in all this when the plagues shall come?
Behold, famine and plague, tribulation and anguish! they are sent as scourges for amendment. But for all these things they shall not turn them from their wickedness, nor be always mindful of the scourges.
Behold, food shall be so good and cheap upon earth, that they shall think themselves to be in good case, and even then shall evils grow upon earth, sword, famine, and great confusion. For many of them that dwell upon earth shall perish of famine; and the other, that escape the famine, shall the sword destroy.
And the dead shall be cast out as dung, and there shall be no man to comfort them: for the earth shall be left desolate, and the cities thereof shall be cast down.
There shall be no husbandman left to till the earth, and to sow it. The trees shall give fruit, and who shall gather them? The grapes shall ripen, and who shall tread them? for in all places there shall be a great forsaking: for one man shall desire to see another, or to hear his voice.
For of a city there shall be ten left, and two of the field, which have hidden themselves in the thick groves, and in the clefts of the rocks. As in an orchard of olives upon every tree there be left three or four olives, or as when a vineyard is gathered there be some clusters left by them that diligently seek through the vineyard; even so in those days there shall be three or four left by them that search their houses with the sword.
And the earth shall be left desolate, and the fields thereof shall be for briers, and her ways and all her paths shall bring forth thorns, because no sheep shall pass there through. The virgins shall mourn, having no bridegrooms; the women shall mourn, having no husbands; their daughters shall mourn, having no helpers. In the wars shall their bridegrooms be destroyed, and their husbands shall perish of famine.
Hear now these things, and understand them, you servants of the Lord. Behold, the word of the Lord, receive it: disbelieve not the things whereof the Lord speaks.
Behold, the evils draw near, and are not slack. Like as a woman with child in the ninth month, when the hour of her delivery draweth near, within two or three hours doleful pains compass her womb, and when the child comes forth from the womb, there shall be no tarrying for a moment: even so shall not the evils be slack to come upon the earth, and the world shall groan, and sorrows shall take hold of it on every side.
O my people, hear my word: make you ready to the battle, and in those evils be even as pilgrims upon the earth.
He that selleth, let him be as he that fleeth away: and he that buys, as one that will lose: he that occupieth merchandise, as he that has no profit by it: and he that builds, as he that shall not dwell therein: he that sows, as if he should not reap: so also he that pruneth the vines, as he that shall not gather the grapes: they that marry, as they that shall get no children; and they that marry not, as the widowed.
Inasmuch as they that labor labor in vain; for strangers shall reap their fruits, and spoil their goods, overthrow their houses, and take their children captive, for in captivity and famine shall they beget their children: and they that traffick traffick to become a spoil: the more they deck their cities, their houses, their possessions, and their own persons, the more will I hate them for their sins, says the Lord.
Like as a right honest and virtuous woman hates a harlot, so shall righteousness hate iniquity, when she decketh herself, and shall accuse her to her face, when he comes that shall defend him that diligently searcheth out every sin upon earth.
Therefore be you not like thereto, nor to the works thereof. For yet a little while, and iniquity shall be taken away out of the earth, and righteousness shall reign over us.
Let not the sinner say that he has not sinned: for he shall burn coals of fire upon his head, which says, I have not sinned before God and his glory. Behold, the Lord knows all the works of men, their imaginations, their thoughts, and their hearts.
Who said, Let the earth be made; and it was made: Let the heaven be made; and it was made. And at his word were the stars established, and he knows the number of the stars. Who searcheth the deep, and the treasures thereof; he has measured the sea, and what it contains. Who has shut the sea in the midst of the waters, and with his word has he hanged the earth upon the waters. Who spreadeth out the heaven like a vault; upon the waters has he founded it. Who has made in the desert springs of water, and pools upon the tops of the mountains, to send forth rivers from the height to water the earth.
Who framed man, and put a heart in the midst of the body, and gave him breath, life, and understanding, yes, the spirit of God Almighty.
He who made all things, and searcheth out hidden things in hidden places, surely he knows your imagination, and what you think in your hearts. Woe to them that sin, and would hide their sin!
Forasmuch as the Lord will exactly search out all your works, and he will put you all to shame. And when your sins are brought forth before men, you shall be ashamed, and your own iniquities shall stand as your accusers in that day.
What will you do? or how will you hide your sins before God and his angels?
Behold, God is the judge, fear him: leave off from your sins, and forget your iniquities, to meddle no more with them for ever: so shall God lead you forth, and deliver you from all tribulation.
For, behold, the burning wrath of a great multitude is kindled over you, and they shall take away certain of you, and feed you with that which is slain to idols. And they that consent to them shall be had in derision and in reproach, and be trodden under foot of them.
For there shall be in various places, and in the next cities, a great insurrection upon those that fear the Lord. They shall be like mad men, sparing none, but spoiling and destroying them that still fear the Lord. For they shall waste and take away their goods, and cast them out of their houses.
Then shall be manifest the trial of mine elect; even as the gold that is tried in the fire.
Hear, O you mine elect, says the Lord: behold, the days of tribulation are at hand, and I will deliver you from them. Be you not afraid, neither doubt; for God is your guide: and you who keep my commandments and precepts, says the Lord God, let not your sins weigh you down, and let not your iniquities lift up themselves.
Woe to them that are fast bound with their sins, and covered with their iniquities, like as a field is fast bound with bushes, and the path thereof covered with thorns, that no man may travel through!
It is even shut off, and given up to be consumed of fire.”
Here's a money-saving tip for you and/or in case there's a shortage of brown sugar:
Make your own using granulated sugar and the free molasses you got from your family member.
Here's the ratio for making Light and Brown Sugar:
Light brown sugar: Use 1 tablespoon molasses for every 1 cup sugar.
Dark brown sugar: Use 2 tablespoons molasses for every 1 cup sugar.
There are a few methods to combine the sugar with the molasses.
#1. Use a large bowl and a fork, which is low-tech and easy.
#2. Mix them together in a zip-top bag. Make sure the bag is tightly closed, then massage until combined.
#3. Which is the fastest and easiest way: Give the mixture a few quick pulses in a food processor, if you have one.
The finished product can be used right away for baking or cooking, or can be stored in an airtight container for at least a month. As with the store-brands, lightly pack it into your measuring cups whenever you use it.
On this end of the state, #1 was $7.49, #2 $5.59. Gas is about $3.85 and Diesel is $5.70-$5.99. This was Monday. Could be different now.
Well….we didn't get any good changes last night.
