  1. I’m not a fan of small plants basically because I’m an underwaterer. And I have extremely low humidity. Hoping to rectify that soon. Still haven’t gotten the grow room set up, a couple of things have to come together yet. My energy being one of those factors. I have to drag a ladder into the basement oh what fun! 🍁🍂🍁🦃💚🙃

  2. We’ve lived in this house for approximately 30 years, 30 years of accumulating stuff and now we have decided it’s time to get rid of all of the excess stuff. 30 years of my kids stuff, my parents stuff, my daughter and her kids stuff when their house burned down and my other daughters stuff plus her daughters stuff when they moved in with us after the divorce. My grow room is basically a second thought now, not for me but everyone else who lives in my house.☹️🍁🍂🍁🦃💚🙃

  3. We have a winter weather advisory starting at 4:00 pm today until 1:00 pm tomorrow. I really need to get outside and take care of some of the growing things out there if I want them to come back next spring. I’m sure everything will melt away but I’m not sure that I will want to go out and take care of things if it’s going to get much colder. Which it will. 🍁🍂🍁🦃💚🙃

  4. Thank you Jeff have a lovely weekend, stay safe, stay healthy, see you next time. 🍁🍂🍁🦃💚🙃,

  5. Thanks for the unboxing, Jeff.
I’m surprised you don’t remove the non-degradable synthetic grow plugs from the plants before you pot them. Don’t you find that they restrict growth as the plants mature?
Depends on the plant, perhaps, but I’ve had much better results when I cut the plug fabric off before potting.
    Enjoy the freezing cold weather!
    😺✌️

  6. I ordered from them and had the same problems- the stickers were incredibly annoying, even with scissors. The plants were smaller than the photos, and an alocasia in a 4” had 3 snapped leaves. 😔

  7. Oh, you got the Jacklyn, that seems like only a couple weeks ago we were talking about that. Never heard of that seller, but looking at it, they have quite a number of interesting plants. They are small but, well, sometimes the fun is growing them out. Now, question, they have a Colocasia Waikiki, which looks a heck of a lot like a Caladium. What do you know about it? (also, not available from them, but Colocasia esculenta 'Light Pillar' is pricey but if it really looks like that, it's nice)

  8. I lucked out. My local garden centre had alocasia jacklyn in a 5cm pot (2") for $10.00 cdn. I've only had it 3 weeks & it's already put out a new leaf. Love the look and texture .

  9. Jeff: I had never heard of ZVP until today. I am still a (new) plant parent at less than 2 years. Enjoying the journey, but this seems to add one more step of complication to the mix. Enjoy your videos! 😊 🪴 🌱 🌿

  10. I'm using Neoseiulus californicus sachets every 6 weeks and they appear to be doing a beautiful job. Cannot find spider mites anywhere.

  11. I bought the variegated vanilla orchid from the same seller in February and mine hasn’t put out ANY new growth. It’s just kind of living. Not better or worse than when I first got it. I’ve repotted it, given more light, fertilizer, and now it’s on a heat mat with all of my other rehabs. Hope all of that puts it into grow mode. My regular orchid is a prolific grower so this one has disappointed me!

  12. I adore alocasia! I havw a little collection that I’m growing. I have 7 and 2 corms I’m growing.
I heard that we shouldnt call it the Jacklyn—that’s the name of the lady that poached them. It’s the Alocasia Sulawesi, and I forget the other name foe it by the locals. I’ll come back if I find their name for it.

  13. Hi Jeff 👋 I am very interested in the Vanilla Orchid 🤔 are there different types? I see Vanilla bean orchid? I see some with thin yellow petal flowers, and I see larger brighter yellow flowers?

  14. Wow, those are tiny. The jacklyn is a really stunning alocasia. Can you describe your bug bomb treatment for spider mites? I've used the Raid/Hot Shot foggers and would like to know your experience. Thanks for the video!

  15. Those are pretty cool alocasias to add to your collection. Never heard a discussion on VPD. Sounds kind of complicated guess I need to look at it more closely. I grow mostly outdoor plants so maybe it’s not so important for my applications

  16. I need you to wrap those little vanillas and alocasias back up, tape that big sticker back on and film with perfect clarity. 🥰 ok! Jk 😜 Everything looked clear on my end.

Why is Jeff so good at everything??? He makes everything look so easy. My Hero! The plant daddy ..lol🪴 😍
