  1. your pronounciation is the best I've heard from non-polish person, thanks so much for actually trying! <3

  2. I appreciate this video, another youtuber made a series of claims that all of Beksiński's works or the majority were about the holocaust despite what he said about not knowing the meanings of these works himself, it always bothered me that a man who died so tragically would have his own regards for his work discarded in bad faith by self centered manipulators.

  3. how bekinski managed to paint such disturbing and simultaneously beautiful paintings is beyond me. it almost conveys the sublime in the negative sense; there's this overwhelming and inescapable horror to his work, aided by the depiction of spindly creatures with limbs that seem to reach out for you, or statues that tower over the people in the paintings. there's always elements present that we can identify with, but they're twisted in ways that trigger an almost primal sense of discomfort. everything about his paintings makes me want to run as far as I can from them, which is only pulling me in. thank you for introducing me to this artist, his work is phenomenal. great video!

  4. Thank you so much for this. I have been a huge fan of this artist since I first discovered him with my crappy old internet connection almost 20 years ago… For some reason, I don't at all find it hard to believe he was a basically happy guy.
