Mobile Home Secret Garden Oasis Fall Tour, Mobile Home Backyard Ideas, Christie's Mobile Home Diary

Welcome to Christie’s Mobile Home Diary! Today, I’m sharing a little bit of my mobile home yard with you. I’m giving you a fall tour of my container garden that’s in the shade, under one of our oak trees out back. It’s a quiet little spot to have morning coffee or tea, read a little while, listen to the birds sing and watch the squirrels play. Come see how things are looking this fall. (Video footage was taken the first week of November 2022). At the end of the video, I inserted in a few photos from summertime so you can see how things were then, and how things have changed. And how it started out, and how it’s been evolving into this outdoor space. Thanks for watching and please subscribe! I have another video that I’ll be uploading soon, and I’ll be taking you on a little walkabout our sandy yard.

The Plants That I Have In The Shade Garden Are:

– Hydrangeas (my blooms are blue, but the color you get will depend on your soil ph, and my soil is on the acidic side, if yours is alkaline you’ll get pink blooms)

– Asparagus Ferns

– Variegated Spider Plant (I’ve got it sitting in the firepit, aka my plant holder)

– Impatience Flowers (coral color)

– Herbs: Oregano, Lemon Thyme, Lemon Balm, and Spearmint

– Polka Dot Plant

– Ivy

– Creeping Jenny Ground Cover Plant is what’s in the orange colorful hand painted pottery pots (they are from Mexico and were purchased for $65 for the pair at a roadside sale we happened upon)

– Morning Glory (the plant with the heart shaped leaves), is one I planted from seeds

– The Large Succulent is called Ghost Plant

Other Items:

– The Black Bench is from Wal-Mart online, it’s Mainstays Brand

– The Pink Concrete Pavers that are under the bench are older and were from Lowes

– The Orange Terra Cotta Pots are from Wal-Mart

– The Firepit is from a yard sale and was $5
