paradox forms is what their weird names are
Lokix is the rumored “Kamen Rider Pokémon”. The Shiny is yellow like Zero-One 🙂

think of those paradox forms kinda like megas (i.e., Great Tusk Donphan) and it works better for the names.
also Coridon & Moridon don't evolve from anything, they're paradox forms of Cyclizar
all Iron prefix paradoxes are from violet (the future) all the others are scarlet (past)
& those 4 weird dark types are the legendaries

Capsakid and Scovillain are based on hot peppers. Names come from Capsaicin and Scoville respectively
Cyclizar isn’t their pre-evolution – the legendaries are its paradox pokemon like how Iron Treads and Giant Tusk are Donphan’s paradox Pokémon. “Past” and “future” forms of existing Pokémon with better stats, inspired by but don’t evolve from them.
Was surprised you didn’t pick up on Lokix being a Kamen Rider more quickly but the other art of it where the back thing folds down to let it do a rider kick definitely shows that inspiration off better
I myself am not a fan of the humanoid design myself but if it's a fighting type I feel like it works. Quaxly's line works, a duck turning into a dancing peacock it makes Pokemon sense. Not a fan of Sprig's line…a humanoid cat reminds me of Zoraora and it just does not work. All the designs are not the best but there is a bunch of uniqueness. My opinion of course.
Remember also, Pokemon are monsters hence "pocket monsters" I'm actually impressed they stuck to that formula cause a lot of these look like scary monsters.
Toedscool and Wiglett are convergence…Toedscool walks on land instead of tentacool in the water. If Tentacool had stayed in the water it would have been a regional variant but it's a completely new mon.
The odd names represent what the paradox forms are based on their time period similar to Ultra Beast. They have zero connection to what they look like. They have no evolutions and are specific to certain periods in time.
The weird thing is he lost most of the regions championship but the world wide one, he wins. Still, congratulations on winning after 25 years. Also I love the Paldean pokemons Dex. They all look cool. I also finally got Go-Roader GT from G Ongers, I just need Engine DaiShogun

No-one asked but in my opinion sprigatitio's final evolution is my least favourite and the other 2 I like a lot surprisingly.
The middle evolution for weed cat is actually alright and then they make it hot for no reason. People didn't want it and game freak said "we'll do it anyway!"
30:18 They should have made wiglett evolve into something else and not just a trio like dugtrio because they might as well make it a regional form instead of a different pokemon. Kinda lazy if you ask me, and I'm not usually the guy to call them lazy.

Paldean Wooper will evolve into Clodsire which is basically brown Quagsire who just decided not to get up. I love him very much.
As for the four unnamed dark types you thought were prehistoric Pokémon, they are a legendary Quartet known as The Four Ruins. They’re like anti Tapus
