  1. It is so refreshing to see how you simplify gardening. Being older and not the best health, I need to think "outside the box". I definitely have enough leaves. They have fallen in several of my "garden" areas. Tonight it is supposed to snow here, that should pack down the leaves nicely. Have a great week.

  2. Hey, if it works, it's not wrong when it comes down to gardening. Genius inventors think up different ways to do things. I'm glad for you guys being willing to think outside the box… and sharing those ideas with us! I grew up in woods and the soil was so nice under the leaves that our grandparents would buy bags of dirt from us kids for their garden lol. That's the same thing you're doing here really!🙂👍

  3. Our comunity gives out compost bins. I picked up one today and filled it with the remaining leaves on the ground. A good feeling.

  4. Howdy Robbie!👋 More great knowledge!👍I started making leaf mold in trashcans this year.😃 I saw a man in a big city plant his sweet tatars in leaves and they did great; thus, this is my plan for next year. I have grown potatoes in leaves for 2 years now.🍂
When folks make leaf mold in trash bags they punch holds in the bags and add water.

  5. I love your brilliant ideas! We live in the country and we are surrounded by trees, plus our nearly 2 acre yard has around 100 trees in it. Unfortunately, about 99% of the trees are oak and i have been told that oak leaves take forever to break down. It took us 2 days to get all the leaves up using our cyclone. One day to vacuum the leaves where the mower can't go and a day mowing and spreading leaves in low areas. I remembered your video on planting in the pepper tree leaves , so I kept 6 barrels of the mulched up leaves in hopes of being able to use them next year.

  6. Leaves to a gardener are gold! I use them in so many ways. I mulch them with my lawn mower to cover my raised beds. And I put them on the bottom of a new raised bed then the dirt. And I also put them on the bottom of all my containers before I put the potting mix on top to save money on potting soil. And I do store them in a wire cage for next spring because I have so many and I don't want them to blow away back to the woods.
