Are there special gardening tips for people who are blind?



Gardening is a full body experience. You can stimulate all of your senses, while boosting your physical and mental health with a few easy tricks to accommodate for vision loss.

  1. I’m a blind gardener too! Born and raised on a farm, I’ve always had a garden. And some hens for an egg for breakfast. I find I really enjoy fragrant plants now and grow lots of herbs with strong scent. That helps me to orient myself as well. I know the mint should be on my right and the garlic on the left of the row leading to the apple tree! Lol. I find raised beds easiest to manage.

  3. Your garden is lovely. Thank you for sharing and inspiring. I miss gardening and am making it a priority to learn tips and tricks to expand my living space outdoors for next year. This year, I am reintroducing plants into my living space that can tolerate extreme low light. 🙂
