  1. I have the cordlyne in Jamaica too, yes regularly get to 10ft. I planted two already at my new house and I have like a dozen potted to plant out later. They are really hardy and really easy to make new ones.

  2. 19:00 amazing! coming along nicely. I didn’t realize Houston could house so many subtropical plants 👍🏾

  3. He's back! Yay! We missed you Paul but know you're super busy with the new baby. Lovin the green, purple and burgundy mix. I have the same in my FL garden and it's truly chef's kiss

  4. AWESOME makeover! I am in Zone 7 and have a lot of part shade/afternoon sun areas too. I love the tropical vibe you have created and I think canna and salvia will do great in my area too. Thanks for spreading the plant planet love! PS. Congrats on baby!

  5. Another good purple shrub for Houston is lorapetalum. It has hot pink flowers.

  6. My gardenias are about 15 years old and are doing well in medium shade under an oak tree. The flowers are amazing!

  7. Yucca plants can be a skin irritant to people. They're also known to be toxic to pets. They look so pretty though!
