Growing While It's Snowing | November Garden Tour

Growing While It’s Snowing | November Garden Tour

While there might not be as much growing outdoors now that the temperatures are falling and consistantly cold, we still have a few herbs and vegetables that are still growing outside, here in zone 5 Wisconsin, and today’s November garden tour gives you a look at exactly what is still growing outside.

We do have large plans for our indoor winter garden, but we will also hold on as long as we can to the plants we have growing outdoors all the while seeing how long they last uncovered.

This video is your opportunity to see what a zone 5 garden looks like with that first measurable snow on the ground.

We hope you enjoy this organic garden tour 2022!

Thank you so much for watching!

  1. My borage is EVERYWHERE! I eat the flowers but never had the leaves. Im going to go outside now and try it. I have some I dehydrated for medicinal purposes.

  2. I didn't pick my beans before freeze. Is the beans no good now for saving? They never turned brown while on the vine so I was waiting

  3. Guten Gardening! I haven't tried growing brassicas this time of year. It's good to see how successful yours are. I don't think I have ever had borage and I know I have to put it on the list for next year. I didn't get to experience last year's seed share, but it sounds really cool 👍

  4. I’ve been waiting for you to bring up indoor gardening! I have a cutting from a Cherokee Purple tomato that is doing amazing in a Kratky bucket in my basement. It has 8 tomatoes and still flowering. I also have kohlrabi and herbs started in my Aerogarden. Looking forward to more videos from Guten Gardening.

  5. I will never, ever,EVER complain about our winters again. You might not be happy with those sprouts, but if I could do that, I would be ecstatic. Maybe I should start my sprouts in the summer, and not Autumn? You didn't show the grapes, is there some special prevention for them? Man, That lush garden of yours look so empty. You guys must really be working your butt's off in spring to get that garden full again for the growing season.
