Thought you were going part time 🤣🤣🤣
Your Kohrabi look just like mine Tony.. though the decent ones I diced them up and then I quickly blanched them, dunked in iced water, froze and vacuum sealed them for later use, most likely make mash with them to add to mashed potato, or use for soups, especially as I've got a freezer full of leeks…
I pull mine when they're golfball size..
Great update Tony. 👍
Tony, have you tryed overwintering your hot wax chilli 🌶s , they a perennial plant, got same plant for last 3 years, already picked about 20 chilli s off 1 plant, ps give it a go
I grew kohlrabi quite a few years ago think I’ll try them again…good to see the growth in the polly tunnel
Have a go at slicing and frying that aubergine and then drizzling over some honey! Beautiful! Berenjenas con miel is it’s name, lots of recipes on the internet give it a try! I ate it as a tapas in Spain .
I've never really got on with Kohl Rabi…they take too much space for too little return in my opinion. Aubergines look real good Tony, been a good year for them..must pick mine!…Steve…😃
Are you part time tony 😂🤣 I don’t think you have said before 🤣🤣 could you do a quick chat about the corn? I’m growing for the first time this year so kinda just winging it 🤞🤞 onions and all the garden is looking brilliant !! If you like chutney – mary berry’s xmas chutney is amazing – could make use of the aubergines too 👍
Tony good luck with kohlrabi I hope you don't need saw to cut kohlrabi. thanks for sharing 🤝👍😊 wow good size of eggplant 🍆👍👏👌
Tony, you have been busy, window cleaning, cooking and off to the allotment too, Love Daisy 💘
The leaves can be used like steamed cabbage
How big are your beds
Long time viewer, first time commenter – just wanted to thank you for the entertaining content. Whenever I’m feeling a bit meh about the garden or the allotment your newest video pops up in my feed and after watching it I’m back in the mood for some growing 👍
Tony, your recipe might work, but toss those kohlrabi in the compost. If you plant some more now they'll do well in the approaching cooler and wetter weather.
Great harvest there I’ve got 2 aubergines in my tunnel never grown them properly before so fingers crossed even if I get one off them I’ll be happy. Never cooked with them before but that’s what I love about growing your own veg I was always a bit of a finicky eater when I was a kid but as I got older and then started growing my own I’ve expanded my knowledge of both growing and cooking. I rate myself as a good cook so love trying new interesting flavours some things I just don’t like so I won’t grow them again but I always say you can’t comment until you’ve tried it nice one cheers 🍻
you work more part time/ retired than working full time 👍
Can I have the recipe for the lentil loaf please Tony! 😊
Beautiful aubergines! I guess because they were grafted? Mine are still just flowers, plants nearly 4’ tall.
Lovely ingredients for your meal!
Never got away with growing Kohl Rabi, grew it one year and that was enough, I'll stick to snowball, purple top milan and golden ball turnips,
Great harvest.
Great update Tony, but a bit rude to be commenting on a ladies weight! 😃
Made a lovely kohl rabi spicy soup with mine 😋😋😋😋😋
Loving the new Part Time you!! 👍 You sound as if you have so much more energy and enthusiasm for life 🥳 Keep going Tony, love the recipy ideas 🤩
You can use thr kohlrabi leaves like cabbage. In Hungary it is known as turnip cabbage
Ah man Tony ya a reet tonic. You sound just like Sir Brendan Foster. Commentary job on GNR going right there!
I am loving the clean and simple dishes you tell us about Tony. I predict a recipe book in the not too distant!!???
I have a titl e suggestion for you; "Hey Tony C, what's fa' tea?" It has a good ring to it 😆😁😍
What !Are you branching out to cooking now.Lentil loaf sounds interesting.Got no aubergines at all and the flowers dropped OFF , in pots in conservatory but peppers and toms doing well.
I watched quite a few of your videos last week and I don't think I heard you swear in any of them. Bloody doesn't count as a swear word in 2021.
Nice harvest, I’ve never tried kohlrabi, wasn’t sure what to do with it, so do you think it’s worth the space it takes up? Your plots looking nice and what a domestic God you are 😅
