  1. I grow veggies that love cold weather like kale, greens, broccoli, spinach, chard and snap peas during the winter and have been growing during the winter for a few years. I use winter covers when it drops really low.
    You plant the seeds in September and October so that they have sprouted and have a good start by the time the colder weather arrives. I usually dont water once the colder weather arrives and dont need to due to the fall rains.

  2. Morning Catherine! It’s very cold here …..but Weather forecast is for warmer temperatures next week. That’s when I plan to plant my bulbs….the beds are now ready for them. I hope that I’ll not have to push the snow aside to do so. Weather this year has been so erratic.
