Let's Go On a Cold Garden Tour at My House

It’s time for a Wednesday Walkabout at my house. Let’s tour my November garden, plant some tulips in the window box, and do some last minute garden grooming before the turkey comes to town.

  1. Enjoyed your cool Walkaround, as always. When I need a little “pick me up”. I watch one of your utube videos. Glad you are feeling better. Wishing you and Stewart a very Happy Thanksgiving! Thankful for both of you for sharing gardening beauty with all of us.

  2. Hi Linda and Stewart
I too have vivid recollections of fall days before Halloween bc my mom decorated with what are now vintage paper decorations. The black cats the pumpkins and the witches on their brooms. We lived surrounded by massive oak trees which probably explains why it’s such a vivid memory. It was those oak trees Linda that allowed me to see a once in a lifetime event in my childhood yard. The great monarch butterfly migration to South America. We lived in coastal nyc at the time. It was amazing! Millions of Monarchs landed on the massive oaks. It was like God speaking to us. The yard looks terrific ! Glad you showed us how to plant those bulbs! Easy way to do it! Maybe I will buy more next fall! Wishing you all a happy thanksgiving tomorrow ! 🦃🦃 you look your old self again. Take it easy tomorrow water meditate yoga! Will also be thinking about those who are not feeling so great. I will keep them in my prayers for peace. 🥰

  3. I was able to get some cherished outside time today here in Ohio zone 6a. Finished digging up the dahlias. The first batch I dug up are all shriveled up already 🙄. I won't be digging them up anymore if I am unsuccessful at storing them this winter. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍁🦃🍂

  4. I have beautiful maple trees and a sycamore tree. I plan on spray painting some of the largest leaves either bronze or copper to add into my Christmas decorating.

  5. I have a few leaves pressed in a book. You were talking about the fallen leaves bringing back memories of your childhood. When I smell someone burning leaves the smell takes me back to my grandparents old house place and us raking so many pecan leaves and picking up and shelling pecans. Your yard is just as beautiful in the Fall as the other seasons. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

  6. Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for enriching my life. I feel fortunate to have this medium to enjoy the shared interest in a garden inspired life. Stewart, for the umpteenth time I was grateful for your filming skills, your slow smooth hand with a camera, and your own eye for beauty.

  7. When the leaves fall…I love the smell of fall. I sometimes use the leaves as decor, but mostly use as mulch around my garden.
Your Pansy look very happy. Happy Thanksgiving, I am thankful for family, friends, health and watching your videos!!

  8. Wishing I had so many leaves 🍃 🍁 to mulch with in my gardens. They are so beautiful and leaf mold is so beneficial to the soil!! Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday!! 😊

  9. Watched this while I was getting the turkey ready for the oven. Such a delight to have some time with Linda and Stewart on Thanksgiving! Thanks for everything you do to create a global gardening community. 🍁🦃🍁

  10. Wishing you and yours a safe and very Happy Thanksgiving Day. Cannot wait for all the Tulips and daffodils to bloom. Please take care of yourself. Love the earrings and outfit.
