I had a great year growing cucumbers and tomatoes thanks to what I learned from when you filmed in the greenhouse. I always tell folks to look up your channel as the way I have managed my garden is a direct result of watching you.
As for the basil, do you aggressively harvest it? I generally grow the sweet basil, but it gets fairly tall before we harvest. My wife introduced me to pesto, so I like to grow basil just for that purpose.
