Hi I’m Graeme and welcome to ‘Allotment and Dreams’. My channel is all about living the allotment life and living the dream of adventures, travelling, exploring and hiking.
Allotment and Dreams was born in early 2022 when I started making a video diary of my Allotment journey, as the channel grows so does my passion for content creation.
I’d love you to subscribe to the channel and join me (and sometimes Sarah) on our journey in turning our dreams into reality.

That is excellent value for your plot and a lovely view 😁 I just use my little bit of garden and have nabbed the borders in the communal garden for growing as there are no handy allotments for me. Happy gardening all 🤗
I pay slightly more for my plot but as you said the amount of enjoyment I get from it is worth all the money in the world. We don’t need approval for sheds, greenhouses or poly tunnels but no glass in greenhouses. Other than that as long as you keep your plot tidy and are polite to your neighbours you are free to grow to your heart’s content
a steel gate with barbed wire across stops nothing, mate. i know. we had steel gates 9 foot high with vandal proof paint across the top and we STILL got raided by undesirables. you can get plenty ideas of how you want to set your plot out by looking at all the other plots…………brian
Community allotments are reasonable councils are about £100 up wards plus water rates aswell mine £20 my plot is 68 a year up in lincoln graham
That's great value, we have no access for any vehicles, so no manure, wood chip or anything No water and I pay £30 for a full plot but we are allowed a shed 😂😂
On my site we pay 20cents per m2 and my plot is 240m2, so that is 48euro’s per year. Also we have to pay 5€ membership fee per year. There are some rules, but not a lot. Basically we can garden any way we like, as long as the plot looks cultivated. We don’t get woodchip and such delivered unfortunately.
It’s sad that any garden area needs stalag 13 security 😢 god people can be ass 🕳’s . Lovely area though Graeme and any place to regenerate the soul and mind is with worth every penny. We don’t have “allotments” here and luckily I have the room in our yard to garden 👍👍. Thank you for sharing this have a fantastic week 🐝 safe
We get a couple of delivery’s of wood chip each year and people are literally fighting over it ,no manure on our site we have to source our own ,you are very lucky .and our fees are £73 this year ,so all in all I’m gealous 😢
Great vid Graeme, shed thing good idea or lack of it to stop crime,,,,,,Love the cowplat cap.,You have become a country bumpkin for £40 quid, need help up here on Mega plot see you in spring ,,,,g-limp🖖
I pay £19 for half plot, I have inherited a small greenhouse, a shed and some water barrels, we dont have woodchip or mannur but i absolutely love the plot. I dont have a garden so this is my only outdoor space xx
Mine is £70 per year!
Hi Graeme, enjoy your videos. We are charged £25 for the year at my site for full plots. Expecting some increase next year as we are on mains water supply. We get horse muck but no woodchips. Site is security fenced but all allotment plots are fenced and locked as well. I have enjoyed my first year growing / harvesting / eating and sharing produce to family and friends. Cheers
Lovely site. We don’t get manure or wood chip so have to source it ourselves. We are in Gloucestershire and pay similar fee. I do enjoy your vlogs and humour mate 😆
Great video and beautiful allotment site. Ours has lovely views. It's 10 pound each for membership. We have a half plot and a quarter plot now and we have paid in total including membership £34 for the year. We have water, some parking, access to Woodchips it's in a lovely location we are very lucky. We fill out a form if we would like a shed and submit for approval. It's a friendly site and we feel fortunate. Oh it's a one off £3 fee for the key when you join.
In Canada we’re just catching on to community gardens. Most of us are fortunate to have a lot of land available to garden.
