Speak out with your wallets! DON’T SHOP at stores that treat their employees in bad and dangerous ways! The retailers who treat their workers in terrible ways shall perish!!!
I think they are overwhelmed by the junk bulk in their stores. Hire homeless people to work there and their stores would look better!
The stores in the state of Connecticut looks like.dumpters, is rare to go to a store in this state & see nice & clean that's 1 in every 100 stores , boxes and boxes fire department in and out those stores cause so many violations

My Dollar General Store in Baltimore Maryland Washington Boulevard don't have nothing on it shelves always bear when I go to others Dollar Generals in the county stock everywhere in the aisles it's a damn shame they making profit because they not hiring anybody use little employees and get as much as you can get done that will save the payroll that's why they making profits

Our Dollar Tree has been like this for the past couple years.Dollar Tree is owned by Dollar General, as I'm told. We have a Dollar Tree in our town, Souderton, Pa. Over 2 yrs. ago I left a couple emails to Dollar Tree, no response, gave up. My 3rd one this past yr was replied to, by corporate. Told him how the isles are always filled up, tops of shelves are filled up with boxes that have to be unpacked. They're in the middle of the isles where only one person could go down while on the other side one person could go up. After listening, we spoke more and he offers me a job. Which I gave a little laugh saying there's NO WAY I could work in a place like that ! Just as I'm starting to get a job done, I'm being pulled off and put on register ! I will never be finished what I started and leave that store not feeling good and unfulfilled about working there. They have changed so many manager's there I've lost count. I did go to another 2 Dollar Tree's a few towns over, which actually both of their stores I never have seen like this. I told the manager's at both stores how great their store looks and how it's run so good. When I told them about ours, they said without skipping a beat, that's the manager's fault, has nothing to do with the workers. They will NEVER get ahead in these stores for the simple reason that they can't find workers to be able to do all this work… and don't want to be treated so badly. For the life of me I can't understand why they don't care and they let this happen. As much as I always wanted and looked forward to have a Dollar Tree in our small town they should just get rid of it. It does make me really sad to say something like that too.

I went into Monroeville pa location. I neeed totes for storage. They had 5 with no lids. I ask management if they would discount them and I would take them as is. They refused. I don't understand that mentally to keep the store cluttered with unselable merchandise. 5 whole totes. Who besides me would need them? Foreals DG
There are 6 or more stores in this area (Cassopolis Michigan) and every one of them ,the shelves are empty and the aisles are packed…what a fricken mess..The upper management should be fired and hire me.. I know how to fix it…
I had no idea family Dollar was part of Dollar general. They've recently just closed one here in my town. I guess they needed to pay for all the fines and fees.
All of this on top of the price discrepancies between the advertised price and the price at the register–DG is in a world of hurt. I'm surprised they are still able to operate.
I just saw what they are making in Profit. Since they close at 10 pm If I were in charge Id have a crew come in and stock stock stock at night and pay them decently.
I was a store manager for 15 years and quit a year ago. I loved my job, my team, and my customers! With that said, things stated in this video are true but there’s so much more that ppl don’t know. Store managers are salary and are supposed to work 48 hrs a week. That never happens! I worked 80+ hrs a week, every week, many times without even a day off! If you’re lucky you get one day off a week! You’re only given 100-120 hours if your lucky a week for your entire staff! So your assistant gets 40 and if you have a full time key, that’s 80 hrs of payroll gone quickly! So that leaves 20-30 hrs a week to divide between your cashiers or part timers which gives them less than 10 hrs a week! Who’s gonna stay on a payroll for hardly no hours every week!? Nobody! Which is why DG has the highest turnover rate of most employers!! They throw more freight in the store than what’s needed, doesn’t matter what your numbers say….if they want to send it, you’re gonna get it. Period! They demand so so much from their employees but give them the minimum resources to be successful! They don’t listen to their employees at All! I was blessed to one of the few store managers that truly had a good crew but that took me years to build! I kept a clean store no matter what but that meant abandoned my family and literally lived in that store killing myself to stay ahead. I finally got an offer to work from home and took it. Unfortunately DG still hasn’t changed and has lost some of its best store managers the past few years because they don’t care about anything but making more money and building more stores! I wish they would have listened, I wish they would have helped, I was a damn good manager and ran a damn good store but I’m not killing myself for a company that doesn’t care to replace me in two seconds! I cared more about that company than the CEO ever did but my voice wasn’t enough and sadly the same has happened with others! I wish I could make them listen, I wish I could help change it but the fact is, you can’t change what others don’t see a problem with. Do what is best for you and your family, DG won’t be there when you look back and realize all you missed out on!

I have a very hard time shopping in my local Dollar General. I am disabled and need to use a powerchair and with all the carts with boxed and the merchandise carts uses on the sidewalk making the sidewalk not available to handicapped people. They also don't have handicapped doors either.
My dollar general had THE SEASONAL AISLE CLOSED LAST NIGHT DURING THANKSGIVING SALE! I have pictures of the AISLE CLOSED WITH THIS SIGN THAT SAYS SORRY AISLE CLOSED !! With this aisle crammed pack of those carts!
