Venturing into downtown Punda, I spotted some charming kokedama on a table in an alleyway. That’s where I met Silvany (@silvanyross), a local maker/shop owner. I got myself a set of her handmande concrete kokedama holders – couldn’t buy the uniquely shaped bamboo plant (cross border issues) but Silvany explained how she “made” it: “one day I accidentally knocked it over onto its side and just never bothered to put it back up – it eventually turned out like this.” Pay her a visit when you’re in Willemstad, Curaçao!
