Monsters Inc. movie commentary

Monsters Inc. is a classic. We’ve wanted to make a movie commentary for this for a while but it was just slightly outside of our niche. That’s somewhat still true, but it’s a family movie we think pretty much anyone can enjoy and we really do love it!

  1. I was clean from self-harm for three months. Had a panic attack and am now three minutes clean. Thank you for being here for me in this difficult time, Sam and Stef.

  2. There’s a plot idea someone posted years ago where Boo goes to college and Lilo is her roommate/w her “dog” Stitch, and something comes through their closet one night but Stitch pounces on it and the door gets pulled shut behind them and when Boo and Lilo open it again, Stitch is gone. So then Boo tells Lilo everything about her trip to monsters inc when she was a kid and they have to figure out how to get there to rescue Stitch. I would absolutely love to see a sequel like this, but I doubt if Disney would do a crossover/w Pixar like that even if they own both studios 😢

  3. The ending when Sully had to say goodbye to Boo always made me cry my heart Out It's so emotional and Sweet 😢

and stef why do you have white and black nail polish is it a men trend now??

  4. Timelines of events
Monster University, monsters Inc, monsters at work. (And the Kingdom hearts 3 level if you added in the timeline)

  5. By the way, the theory goes that monsters first contact using that door technology was during the black plague, or something similar, and with how it worked, the monsters thought contact with humans, especially children who are much less capable of fighting off the disease, was deadly to monsters. They treat humans themselves as disease carriers their world has not had contact with. Monsters don’t have the same diseases, so they don’t have the same immune systems we do. Making them very susceptible to our diseases

  6. I always love the intros in the beginning and I really love Stef's nails they look good ☺️👍

  7. I watched this recently and the fact this movie still hits hard – and not even because of nostalgia/the fact I watched and loved it as a kid – it’s just a really great movie? Pixar (not Disney) is still great, but Monsters Inc really is one of their top classics

  8. I liked how different each of the monsters looked, i wish there was more movies that put that amount of effort into characters.

  9. I really do love your reactions! I just subscribed because your insights to each movie is so relevant and make every sense 🙂 And also, most of the movies on my movie list on my laptop, you reacted to this channel I'm so happy!
WANT TO RECOMMEND SOME THAT MAYBE U CAN REACT TO:
Ocean's 8 – an American heist comedy film
    If I stay – this one's a a tearjerker
Midnight sun – a tearjerker as well
    and Nicholas Spark's book-based movies

  10. There was a theory that the scream for power thing started in or they just went back in time too the time of the Black plague or any extreme sickness back then they led to a lot of monster deaths due to contact with children who were sick.

  11. Once again, commenting here to keep requesting Ever After before we move too far away from the kids movies phase and the Cinderella adaptations in particular.
