Throw it over the dirt.and put some of the dirt to cover it.when they start to come out you transplant them.if they are too thick it will not grow the way you want.lam from Jamaica

The lemons are great VC.can squeeze the juice and freeze it .then just take some out and use whatever way you want either for making lemon aid or for when drinking water

Maria u can juice limes freeze in ice trays n then keep them in ziplock bag in freezer. Us a cube r 2 un ur jug. When making drink. U can grate rund iff n dry in sun then keep in a glass jar and use when cooking meat that has raw smell. Or make lemon sauces.

I believe you put too many seeds in the container. When they sprout you will have a cluster. You will definitely need to transplant. When you do the next batch, using a container similar to egg tray would be useful to germinate the seeds. I would not put more than 2-3 seeds in each hole.

Island is the best! Stones should be placed at the bottom of the garden pot. Go real Island.
Dont cover the seeds with too much earth and dont put them down too deep..they will take longer to pop up out of the earth.

You can cut the lemons in two ..place them in a plastic bag and freeze them so they will serve longer.
Planting Makes sense Tyrone
Seed starter soil will help the seeds germinate faster. Do not compact the seeds and you don't have to plant them deep because you will have to transplant. Follow the directions on the packets.
You are right in the islands we just throw stuff in the ground and watch it grow. But if you live anywhere else it’s a process. I germinate or set my seeds inside. Get you an empty egg carton put soil in it and drop the seeds in it. A spray bottle u add with water to water every other day. Keep it inside until it pop out the ground. Once it sprouts you can transfer it to a bigger pot outside or the ground.
Not sure if you guys can get compost soil to mix in with your potting soil and regular soil.
Not sure if you guys have a farmers almanac . That’s a good book to get because it lets you know what you can plant for the zone you live in.
Old school Trini ppl plant above ground plants 3 days prior full moon. Underground plants 3 days after full moon.
Maybe pick up some books from the library.
