  1. Welcome to my vlog channel and thank you so much for watching! I've been wanting to grow herbs inside the house and finally did it!

  2. Why is it, EVERYTIME i come here YT seems to automatically turn on the "Closed Captioning"? They act as if people can't understand Jun… I can understand him perfectly… Excellent English speaker… If i ran into him here in the United States, I would be hard pressed to believe he didn't live here… Just find it strange that YT does this.

  3. First time I've seen a blog. Thank you for sharing, your hard work paid off. Good luck gardening and cooking.

I have a question: My husband and I are not very healthy and would like to change our diet to include the traditional Japanese breakfast ichiju sansai. My question: Is there a good way to prepare it in advance, or do you need to make it from scratch every morning?
Any help from people is appreciated, thank you. 🙏

  4. The herb you couldn’t identify is called cilantro/coriander in English (in the pot with the Rocket). Thanks for the cool project and quality time with the kids… they are so adorable.

  5. the round leaf one is nasturtium, it is one of my favourite edible flowers. The flower can be a little sweet and peppery and the leaves are also very peppery. I used to grow them all the time when I had a yard, but haven't had much luck since I moved to an apartment with north facing windows.

  6. It truly is so adorable how despite getting a bigger kitchen so you could stand taller, you still end up slouching over anyway for Haku

  7. I always love how peaceful these videos are. Thank you for making them 🙂

  8. Did you know that lemongrass is commonly used in a lot of South East Asian cuisine such as Thai and Vietnamese cuisines

  9. If you like rocket, i think you'd also like French sorrel if you're able to get some in Japan

  10. TYSM for the ikea solution! I'm not so good at building things and love to grow herbs but can't put them on the floor inside because of cats.

  11. Such a great idea! Our cats are curious and love to nibble on plants so we only have some salad greens growing in a room they can't access inside the house.

    Gracias.✨️

  14. The way Haku rubs into your hair is so adorable. Love the look of the herb stand. Makes me wanna finally tackle the "grow your own herbs" project. Thanks for the inspiration and the relaxing video.

  15. The edible plant with the big round leaves is nasturtium! The blooms are edible too, and there are climbing varieties! I grow those in my garden, very much a fan of their look and low need for maintenance.

  16. I will never forgive YouTube for not showing your videos in my subscription feed for the past year…. At least I have a whole backlog to catch up on now.

  17. I'm fascinated how your cats are not spooked by the noise. When I unpack my makita, my cats flee like hell incarnate is coming for them 😂

  18. I love gardening but I don't have a balcony and my apartment is tiny and it's hard for me to go outside and dig on my knees etc etc. Anyways, I end up putting all my plants in windowsills or on my big bookshelf so my cats don't touch them :') I love taking care of plants so much especially when I can clean them up and move pots etc. Just getting my hands in the dirt and seeing all the colours is so refreshing.

  19. Thank you for sharing! I recently got our cats real cat nip and it was destroyed within a few hours. I even tried putting it up but it didn't work lol. Also I tried wheat grass as well I'm not sure I'd thats something you can get in Japan? Our cats liked that one and again didn't last long. Thank you for sharing plants that are good for cats as well! Also not sure if you both will be reading this but I was hoping to get some merch but I wasn't sure where to go for that or if you both are still selling shirts for the holidays. Looking forward to another video soon! 🐱

  20. The round leaves are nasturtium. The leaves and their flowers have a peppery/mustard taste.

  21. You can get your wood cut at the hardware store?? Is this a thing everywhere in Japan, or just your local store offers it?
I don't think I've seen anywhere to get wood cut at my nearest hardware store 🤔
