  1. I bet that all the passengers must have gained more than few pounds with regular meals and no fitness activities. I like these big windows even on regular seats and sleeping cars.

  2. Because of the economic crisis that always comes up the best thing to be on every wise individual’s mind or list is to invest in different streams of income that’s not depending on the government to generate funds.

  3. I took this train in October and it was the best trip so far of my life. The scenery was amazing and the people I met on the train were unforgettable. And to top it off this staff was exceptional

  4. How do you choose the roomettes with the view since there are two rooms on two side? Does Amtrak help you pick the room? Thank you for sharing your experience.

  5. Man I honestly forget. America is fucking gorgeous.

When you ain’t in the Midwest, we got some gorgeous scenery. Ever been to the Smokies? It’s pretty as hell out there.

  6. America has the rail system it has because lawmakers didn’t think it would still be around 50 years on. The rail system, I mean. Not America. But they’re in the middle of modernizing a lot of their fleet.

And your snack bar guy or conductor, he’s got jokes. One time I was on the Pacific Surfliner and the conductor got on the intercom and told passengers to look over at a jammed I-5. He joked we probably feel better about what we paid for tickets.

  7. I started a cross-country trip from Minnesota headed for Oregon. I boarded the Empire Builder. A terrible train. My room was filthy, bed looked slept in, dirty cleaning rags were set by the toilet, crud all over the floor and I was livid. Got off three stops later, contacted Amtrak and to their credit got reimbursed for My entire round-trip ticket. If I ever plan to go again, I’ll take a bus or two to meet up with the California Zephyr.
I’ll NEVER board the Empire Builder again! Even the Coastal Starlite is better than that!

  8. Landscape is magnificient. No doubt about it. However, I am a bit surprised to see the train condition inside, considering the price of $ 1,000. Ouch !

  9. As an American, I would not spend that much to ride on a train and most people here feel that way ( which is why there were only 6 cars on even a popular route). Instead, I would go by car and just get a hotel room every night since it would be cheaper and more self-directed. Plus, as an added bonus, I would get to spend all that time behind the wheel! Most people in the US don't like using public transportation. However, I did enjoy the video! It was very relaxing.

  10. Quando vc ver um ser humano sozinho dentro de um quarto de trem usando focinheira vc tem certo que ele é um idiota!

  11. Imagine the next door roomette neighbor is lactose intolerant… I am sure you can smell them the entire three days! Omg
