Cold weather is predicted so lets take a final look at the garden before it goes into a wintersleep. Not much has changed because of the (very) long autumn period, so a quick one minute look is enough 😉. I really can enjoy evergreen plants and trees, that’s why my Wollemi pine gets more attention this time! At this time of the year the Wollemia looks slightly different. The color is changing a bit and polar caps are formed, its own winter protection! How cool is that!
My plans with the Wollemia the upcomming years? Just let it grow, it’ll grow faster and taller the upcomming years, but it has some growing space. The moment it gets too large I will cut it down. New shoots will be formed at the base of the stem and we can start over and I will have some cutting material.
