VIKING OCTANTIS

Stateroom Features
Our intimate, all-veranda ships offer a wide variety of staterooms for your selection. From Veranda Staterooms to the abundance of extra perks and amenities in our spacious Explorer Suites, there’s no finer way to travel. And whichever stateroom you choose, you will find it beautifully designed in the understated elegance for which Viking is known.

Ship Highlights
Our new expedition ships feature innovative, light-filled spaces where comfort meets discovery. With more indoor and outdoor viewing areas than other expedition vessels, guests are as close as possible to the most magnificent scenery on earth.

The Aula & Finse Terrace
The world’s most advanced venue for learning at sea, The Aula is a stunning panoramic auditorium. Inspired by the University of Oslo’s famed ceremonial hall where the Nobel Peace Prize was historically awarded, The Aula will offer a dynamic venue for lectures and entertainment, with floor-to-ceiling windows and 270-degree views. Adjacent to The Aula through sliding glass walls is the Finse Terrace, an outdoor lounge area with comfortable couches and warming lava rock “firepits”—perfect for panoramic views of the surroundings. Together the two spaces can be combined to create an unmatched indoor-outdoor al fresco experience for guests to be immersed in nature.

Discover Our Expedition Ships
Small enough to navigate remote polar regions, yet large enough to provide superior handling and stability, our right-sized, purpose-built expedition vessels are designed for profound voyages of discovery.

The Hangar
An industry first, The Hangar brings true comfort to expedition cruising. This enclosed, in-ship marina permits the launch of small excursion craft through the ship’s multiple shell doors. The Hangar’s most innovative feature is an 85 ft. slipway that allows guests to embark on Special Operations Boats from a flat, stable surface inside the ship, shielded from wind and waves.

Our Expedition Vessels
To explore the world’s most remote regions, we have introduced two specifically built, cutting-edge expedition class small ships: Viking Octantis and Viking Polaris.

WORLD CAFÉ
With live cooking, an open kitchen and premium seafood/sushi choices and a grill, the casual World Café provides a vibrant interactive experience and a wide range of international flavors.

MAMSEN’S
Named for “Mamsen,” the Hagen family matriarch, this venue offers Norwegian specialties including waffles according to Mamsen’s original recipe, open-faced sandwiches and split pea soup.

EXPLORERS’ LOUNGE
Inspired by the trade routes of Vikings, the Explorers’ Lounge is the ideal place for guests to share their discoveries over an aquavit or a craft beer while sampling fine Scandinavian fare. Located high on the ship with floor-to-ceiling windows, the Explorers’ Lounge provides guests an ideal space to take in the magnificent scenery, share discoveries with fellow travelers or to enjoy a drink.

THE POOLS
Admire the scenery of vast wilderness. From polar ice fields to coniferous forests—from this heated sanctuary of three different temperature pools, including an “inside-out” pass-through swimming experience.

THE LIVING ROOM
Located to maximize views through the floor-to-ceiling windows, with a library that informs even the best-read explorers. The ideal setting for relaxation and conversation.

  1. Been waiting for this tour for a while, as someone who lives near the Great Lakes and would love to tour them by one of these new expedition ships.

  2. You speak often about using European adapters and converters when cruising. Do they only wirk with 220V devices, or do they just convert the plug that is used for additional 110V service.

  3. Oh wow, what a ship! Not sure my budget would ever stretch to explore this one myself, but this has been fantastic to see on your channel – LOVE IT!
