A Master Gardener through the Purdue University Extension office advised us to trench our tomatoes when planting and add Epsom salts (for the Magnesium) and crushed eggshell (for the Calcium) and the tomatoes would do really well. This video is an example of us planting a tomato in that manner and the harvest was the best we’ve had. We’ve done this now for 3 years and our harvest has never been better.
