  1. Things look great, Janey. We have a clematis ( I can't remember the name) that we prune to the base every fall. It comes back better and better every spring. Not saying you should do that, but it works for ours.
    Have a great weekend
    Cheers Jason and Colleen 🌱🌱🌱

  2. Hello!! I am happy to find your channel, i'm in zone 10b so it's almost the same like your.. Finaly i found someone who will help me with my garden!!

  3. Such a beautiful early spring garden. I feel you on that citrus I ran outside at midnight to cover mine last night. It’s not looking too hot. I bought some tulip bulbs kinda late from Costco they’ve been chilling since beginning of Jan do you think it’s too late for me to plant now?

  4. Janie! Do you have any Phlox? Mine hasn't stopped blooming since planting in the summer 2021. If you don't , you should! I'm in zone 8b north central Florida and I believe that you could add them and they would Most likely bloom all year round!

  5. Fyi I just love your Waddle fencing. Just planted out my Hollyhock "Nigra" out! I started last year soon they will bloom!! Woohoo, I hope my Tulips do well.

  6. Love your garden! Maybe replant the plants from the pots in the new mulch? I love the color you have in your garden

  7. Everything looks beautiful and you did a great job with the mulch! Instead of doing one container for blueberries and one for strawberries you could do one blueberry bush in each pot and then plant the strawberries around the edges of both blueberry plants!

  8. You can plant a blueberry plant in each pot and surround them with strawberries!! I love your content, new subscriber here! πŸ€—πŸŒΌ

  9. You should totally do a blueberry bush underplanted with strawberries in both of your barrel planters and make them match! That would be so pretty and I bet all the plants would be happy together since blueberries are a taller bush and strawberries are more of a ground cover. I think they both like acidic soil too. That’s just a thought. Thanks so much for the lovely garden tour!

  10. Get a Florida rose blueberry and another warm season variety/rabbit eye like premier or powder blue you can keep them pruned to size- plant one in each whiskey barrel container and then MULCH with your strawberries along the edge so they can cascade over (and blue berries with pink flowers/red berries wow! ). They should tolerate the acid conditions meant for blueberries- they like 5.4-6.5ph.

  11. Hi, I'm newto your channel. Thank you for the tour, you've done great job. I'd like to suggest for you to plant blueberries in both of the barrels and strawberries at the edges, that way they will hang over the edge and get plenty of sun. You will get both types of berries in the same space.

  12. Thank you so much for focusing on slowing down your pans. I really appreciate it!! Looking good. Great garden tour. So great to see that your Supertunias wintered over. Mine seem to be doing the same and I’m really excited about it.

  13. Beautiful! Can you share how you placed the wire hooks and wire in the stucco? And how you made the espalier for the honeysuckle to train it into the diamond shape? Thanks from Vancouver, Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦!

  14. For your blueberry barrel- you can plant 2 or 3 bushes together! Dave Wilson Nursery has great resources online for planting them like this. I have 3 in a wine barrel and used a mix of acid planting mix and micro mulch. πŸ™‚

  15. Plant a blueberry in each pot by the hoop house and under plant with the strawberries. Matching and you'll have the pollinator companion, those pots should be large enough for both.

  16. New to your channel. Love your honeysuckle on the fence & the bougainvillea. Would love to see (and smell) when in bloom. Jealous you can overwinter your supertunia. They are annual here in Michigan.

  17. I live in Redding, CA and was also SO frustrated with the random frost, this never happens! Love your beautiful garden!

  18. I’m so glad I found your channel! I’m in 10a, San Diego, and it’s hard to find channels with gardeners in similar zones who like the same plants as me ☺️ Love your garden and can’t wait to follow along throughout the season.

  19. Gorilla Mulch is a great one that we use here in So. Cal Zone 10B..it's redwood and western cedar trees that have been finely shredded.

  20. You could plant a blueberry in each pot and surround them each with strawberries….just a thought. I saw this with Laura's garden on Garden Answer

  21. Love your garden! So beautiful. I don’t think your clematis died, I think I see buds there!

  22. Hi! iv'e been binge watching your videos recently and i'm so excited that i am almost caught up! Your garden is absolutely gorgeous and i'm so excited to see you work on your kitchen garden next, i think your going to do an amazing job with it! Thank you for all the work you do taking these videos and all the time and effort that comes with that. You deserve all great things!

  23. Janey do you have a video of making that beautiful tutor? Sorry if my spelling is incorrect. What I love about your videos is that you have a normal size lot like lots of us. It’s so inspiring watching it come to life. And feeling your joy in the process.

  24. Your garden is beautiful! Such a great start to the season. I can see you put a lot of work and love into growing! I also have a backyard garden it’s the start of my 3 year now but there is still so much to learn and I appreciate any tips, tricks and visual presentations you’ve provided. I’m looking forward to learning more from each other as we grow! πŸ“πŸ₯πŸ…πŸ‰πŸπŸπŸ‹πŸŠπŸ‡πŸ’

  25. I've heard tulips don't like heat. I'm wondering what high temperature it can get in your area even we are both in zone 9b. im afraid that tulip may die in my area when its 98 f lol
