We are near Woodford QLD and aphids just demolish everything , I found that the plant that most attracked them was my mustard seed plants so grew that in the hope my other plants would be left alone but nope , and this year we had those black aphids that went crazy on anything onion and i mean gazillions of these black aphids , you wipe them off and theres red like blood from them , its strange id never seen them before this year , we decided to leave the garden beds empty this season because if its not bugs , grubs , aphids and burning heat im not having much luck , i have ordered some garlic type spray so ill see how next season goes ,
Cardboard. Just to let u know we get ours in bulk for free from Fresh and Save Maryborough. It's the large pallet boxes they use for watermelons and bulk fruit. They keep them aside for us to collect every 2 weeks or so. We have quite the stock pile at the moment though. Google says you have near you Toowoomba Fresh at Wilsonton. Worth checking out with a phone call and Darryl taking the trailer next time he goes that way. They also have some awesome deals on fruit and veg at different times. I do my seeds in about Feb here and do quite well last 2 yrs being here. Tooooo hot in summer for me and seedlings I've found but this yr was 3 floods in our area so just didn't bother at all. Cheers.
Did you ever find out what's different about the eggs that the mayo isn't working? The chooks look really healthy!
Gee your poultry look great
Those chickens have grown so fast. What is the plan for them? Eggs or are they meat birds? Did u say before that u just have birds for eggs? No butchering. I had bo idea u had planted so much. When do u find the time honestly. Just amazing all the things you accomplish.
Hey Nyssa roots and refuge had contaminated soil, Jessica did a whole video on it, I know they are in America but you never know. This is just a thought when you plant your seedlings try putting a pot that has no bottom around the selling… that's if you haven't tried that already 😉 I have grown my first artichoke this year I only grew it for the flower it's truly magnificent, hope you're all doing well xx
Can you put your pigs in there they would dig it up for you, don't lose hope this season had been weird next hear will be better xx
Awww happy chickens!
Thank you for your realistic garden update. Ours is pretty much the same, lots of weeds and most plants chewed in some way. Very disheartening but it is what it is. Seedlings have been a disaster this year. 🌱 We are in Victoria so perhaps disastrous gardens is a country wide theme this year.
Hi Nyssa, thank you I’m a newby, loved looking around the garden & chicken coops. It’s a pretty tough year to grow food with these wacky weather patterns. I just harvested one bed of garlic & more than half had rotted off with all the rain we’ve been having in Melbourne. Looking forward to tomorrow’s vlog 🥰
Thank you for.following my channel hun i really appreciate it xxx love your vlogs x do u decorate your house for christmas xx
Your videos are wonderful..I always look forward to them..Mmm… the mystery munchers..seems they have a very select palate!…love your format..kind regards
I know how disappointing it must to have all your work in the garden go to naught. It is a lot of work to see all those hours wasted but now your weather might change and your crops produce a farmer is always hopeful. We are all hoping things turn around for the better.
Love seeing the chickens and ducks thankyou for the updates great video.
Could sit there for ages and watch the babies. Thank you for sharing.
Does your husband go to a job during the day? I never see him so I was just wondering. Love your videos!
the weed pressure and pest pressure are over the top this year , I often think it's unfair that weeds seem to flourish so easily
