My books and videos are all grounded in what I actually do, I make sure you can see the evidence. For example if I suggest sowing carrots in November, take a look at my monthly tours to see them growing and my harvest videos for May to see the actual results. I’m not just about regurgitaing information from the backs of seed packets!
Just because all my resources are ‘free of charge’, to everyone, doesn’t mean they aren’t good quality. My objective is to make sure that there’s no need to be rich to get access to great gardening information. I do however have a lot of costs to cover and my time is valuable to me, so please consider supporting me at https://www.buymeacoffee.com/steverichards

Good morning friend.
Mornin' Steve. Aren't home grown carrots absolutely gorgeous. Do you have a favourite variety?
It's a great system you have Steve,
Do you rotate your carrot beds every year?
Carrots are my nemesis. How long have those long ones been in the ground. I have managed to grow a handful of baby carrots this year but I expected them to be bigger from the days to harvest information but I’m wondering if those ‘timings’ are really to expect for baby carrots and to have actual full carrots takes far longer in the ground? Also how often do you water them? I found that the ones I watered less have grown better
Some very nice looking carrots there Steve, Take care.
Penny for your thoughts on ‘super soil’ Steve. Have you used and if not would you consider it?
Do you also top your parsnips? Thanks for this idea. I will try it next year.
Taking the tops off is an interesting idea. Thanks. Here is a tip for you. Try pressing the carrot down, before pulling it up. I find it helps break any hair roots. making for a cleaner lift.
Would u cut the tops of your carrots if they still small and growing?
Great succession of carrots there Steve. We’ve had our best year yet, some very sweet tasting carrots. Our winter buckets are doing ok but the first two are way too big. Take care.
Great info, thank you
impressive planning as usual Steve, happy growing
👍👍👍
Great tips Steve
The way you plan planting and harvesting, its a thing of beauty Steve.
